Hi, I can send whatever you need.

Also, I recently started having an issue where the LMS does not advance
to the next track. Note that Player handles "next track" is set to No.
When a track ends, I see the time move a few seconds (backward?) but
will not advance to the next track in the playlist.

Great idea. Please don't kill the dropbox however until we get moved to
the new repository!

2015-05-07 Thread djfake

at any rate, I can't get the Settings page for the Squeeze2UPnp plugin
to open in LMS.

The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a
few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make
sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

All other issues seem to be okay (Beep acknowledged and corrected the
problem with nextURI), except that it skips at least one track ahead
when playing, e.g. 1,3,5... or 2,4,6. Note that I had this problem
previously (with the earlier 2.0.1 version run manually.

Philippe, you were right about Beep and nexturi, they updated the player
and there is a bug. They will fix today.
"...there is a bug. We changed something about the underlying player. We
have a fix built that we're testing at home. I'm going to push it out to
you in a few hours..."

Still will try and use the plugin.

I just killed the manual sq2u running, added this repo and check
UPnP/DLNA Bridge listed under Philipp's Plugins, then went to settings
and enabled. Do I need to create or use a config.xml file?

As promised.

Note that playback was very stable, no serious issues. Sometimes, tracks
would skip or jump ahead, or just stop, but I could always manage (play,
forward, etc.) everything from the LMS webpage. Daemonized process is
still running. Beep is a little unstable, I woke up this morning to find
it in "smiley face" mode for an hour, which means it was searching for a
network connection. I restarted it and all is fine, could immediately
play via LMS. Now to sort out the firewall issues...

Thank you Phillipe for your application, I have recommended it to the
Beep developers.

Okay, will download 2.01 and create log.

BTW, script to run on linux, checks to see if already running

#!/bin/bash

if [ $pid != squeeze2upnp-x86 ]; then

I believe my Beep is connecting at 49152, I have 9000 and 3483 open for
LMS. Firewalls are always a good idea, and the fact that I have to turn
mine off to get sq2u to work, I would also request to a config parameter
for the port(s) to be specified.

philippe_44 wrote:

That it works well. I spent Monday using it extensively but did have to
restart sq2u a few times during the day, so it must crash or become
unresponsive. Whether this is my Beep or sq2u, I will have to
investigate further.

Firewalls are a good thing! What ports does sq2u use? Looks like 49494
for the renderer...

Also, I noticed the CPU use for sq2u is extremely high. Any ideas why
that is? From top cmd:

you can download a template init file here,
https://github.com/fhd/init-script-template

I created a file called "sq2u" from the template, then just fill out
this section (my e.g., ymmv )
dir="/usr/sbin/sq2u"
user="root"
cmd="./squeeze2upnp-x86"

make it executable:
chmod +x sq2u

then move it into place:
sudo mv /usr/sbin/sq2u /etc/init.d/
sudo chmod +x /etc/init.d/sq2u
sudo update-rc.d sq2u defaults

The script is nice because you can run commands on it.
Usage:/etc/init.d/sq2u {start|stop|restart|status}

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: squeeze2upnp, a bridge between LMS and uPNP devices

2015-03-11 Thread djfake

Sorry to come in as a n00b here, I keep getting this error when I run
./squeeze2upnp-x86. I downloaded the single file, but ran sudo apt-get
install libc6:i386 first.

./squeeze2upnp-x86-static: line 4: syntax error near unexpected token
`newline'
./squeeze2upnp-x86-static: line 4: `'

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: squeeze2upnp, a bridge between LMS and uPNP devices

2015-03-11 Thread djfake

Hi I am trying to get a Beep (http://thisisbeep.com) to work with LMS.
It is Upnp compatible.

I first ran this
LMS-to-uPnP-master/dev/bin$ ./squeeze2upnp-x86 -i config.xml
[16:38:01.739761] slimproto_loglevel:1002 slimproto change log
[16:38:01.739926] stream_loglevel:292 stream change log
[16:38:01.739955] output_mr_loglevel:269 output_mr init 2
[16:38:01.739977] uPNPLogLevel:376 uPNP change log
[16:38:01.739998] WebServerLogLevel:162 webserver change loglevel 2
[16:38:01.741408] uPNPInitialize:960 uPNP init success -
192.168.0.12:49152
[16:38:16.000269] UpdateMRThread:764 Begin uPnP devices update
[16:38:16.008146] UpdateMRThread:849 End uPnP devices update 8
[16:38:16.944816] main:1452 stopping squeelite devices ...
[16:38:16.944878] main:1454 stopping uPnP devices ...
[16:38:21.744031] main:1456 all done

edited config.xml to include flac, then ran this:

LMS-to-uPnP-master/dev/bin$ ./squeeze2upnp-x86
[16:38:39.899767] slimproto_loglevel:1002 slimproto change log
[16:38:39.899933] stream_loglevel:292 stream change log

[16:38:39.901256] uPNPInitialize:960 uPNP init success -

[16:39:55.007770] UpdateMRThread:849 End uPnP devices update 8
[16:41:30.000132] UpdateMRThread:764 Begin uPnP devices update
[16:41:30.010602] UpdateMRThread:849 End uPnP devices update 11
[16:42:05.000695] UpdateMRThread:764 Begin uPnP devices update
[16:42:05.010995] UpdateMRThread:849 End uPnP devices update 10
[16:42:41.000899] UpdateMRThread:764 Begin uPnP devices update
[16:42:41.013129] UpdateMRThread:849 End uPnP devices update 12
[16:43:11.000137] UpdateMRThread:764 Begin uPnP devices update
[16:43:11.005372] UpdateMRThread:849 End uPnP devices update 5

However, after a while, I still do not see any more players available to
LMS, including the Beep. Just the Squeeze players I would expect to
find.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Android Client - Squeeze Remote

2009-08-23 Thread djfake

Hi -
I just purchased this application for use with my Squeezebox v3. When I
opened SqueezeRemote, it asked me to turn Wifi on. Once I did, it found
my Squeezebox and my G1 is now a remote for my Squeezebox.

It did what it claims to, and hopefully this guys will continue to
develop and support their app.
