Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LmsUpdate and LmsRepack - Synology 8.0.* packages

Same problem here, installed Docker container following instructions and
... error and keep reiniciate
Don't see any problem with port 9000 even if it seem be the problem
By the way pinkdot LMS had been previously stopped and uninstalled, and
NAS restarted.

Try with port 9001 (bridge mode) and container seem work.

Now the question I have is : how do I access to new LMS?

Thanks

Correct, updating PERL will make LMS unusable. To me as user I'd like an
updated DSM and a working LMS all in same place, understand that will be
possible no more.
On the other side if DSM 7 upgrade Docker version I could learn and play
with Home Assistant.

So I've decided to experiment with a Raspberry and already bought all
components, will try piCore and if one day something more interesting
comes out will use the Rasp for something else.

As for a Christmas play project it's good

Thanks all.

Thanks Michel I use LMS in the simpler way : listen to music on the NAS
+ Spotty + weather forecast by SuperDateTime
Will check the Docker option to see if I can use it just because I don't
want another jalopy to mantain :)

No, thats the benefit of Docker containers

How could we do that?
I can install Docker on my DS415+ but have no idea of following steps
i.e. to put a LMS inside a docker container.

By the way a great THANK to pinkdot and all people who mantained LMS
alive all this time.
I'd be available to pay a fee to contribute to its evolution.

If all the above is not possible, where would you counsel to migrate
LMS? RPi4 is equivalent for raspberry? Would it be the better option?

Thanks again.

Referring to post #733

Bart attached a nice preset clock for transporter and radio. How can I
adapt it for the Touch?

Thanks

Hi prabbit, could you share the setting .txt to add the SDT screen you
made with lunar phase?
I'd really like to have it on my Touch.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LmsUpdate and LmsRepack - Synology 8.0.* packages

2020-09-26 Thread gmonno

Hi folks, I just discovered the existence of new LMS 8 . thanks
pinkdot, from me and from 5 Squeezebox Touch I have in my home :)

My LMS is installed into a DS415+ Synology, fist make an intermediate
step upgrading to :
Logitech Media Server VersiĆ³n: 7.9.2 - 0029.1576909043

and tomorrow will upgrade to V8.

Now my question, my Touch says :
Squeezebox Touch
Tipo de reproductor: fab4
Firmware: 7.8.0-r16754

meaning it is using V 7.8. Question is : LMS version goes aligned to
Touch version?
I mean, should I see a 7.9 version for Touch? And a V8 after it?

Or upgrading LMS to V8 doesn't mean that Touch will download a V8?
What is the latest version for Touch and where may I check it?

Thanks a lot, hope to use my Touch many years more

Regards
