Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
Thanks for that SBF!! Sounds good on the Chromecast front. Can you confirm for me that Wayne's Squeeze Ctl apps volume can be controlled from your pixel 3a while it is in the background and your using another app, such as chromecast? That is my main use example and works well for me on Android 11. FYI - Android 9 to 5 is suggesting the build number your 3a is on for Android 12 will be the last one with a final update for beta users sometime in March - Do you know if you've received that yet? https://9to5google.com/2022/03/09/android-12-qpr3-beta-1-pixel/ Cheers, Bruce. kiwibrucie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31674 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
Hi Wayne, Posted last November about upgrading to Android 12 and not being able to use volume ctl rocker switch with Squeeze Ctl app or chromecast whether in foreground or background due to Google disabling functionally due to legal dispute with Sonos. I rolled back my phone to Android 11 and decided to wait for Android 12L to be released and see if that had a fix for the problem. Wondering wether you or any one else with Pixel 3a can confirm if the issue has been resolved with 12L - I don't want to go through upgrade/downgrade process again if volume rocker control is still not working properly. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
Hey Wayne, My pixel 3a just upgraded to Android 12 and I now cannot use volume ctl rocker switch with squeeze ctl app whether in foreground or background. Searching on line apparently Google have disabled use of hardware control of apps with the device rocker buttons on Android 12 due to some legal dispute with Sonos. This completely screws up my use of the app for everyday purposes. Do you have any idea whether this is going to be a transient issue or a long term problem? Any info would be much appreciated. PS - Further to your reply, I can access your site perfectly OK from my browser so doesn't appear to be a geo-physical thing . Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
When I try to activate chromecasting using the button on the Squeeze Ctrl app, the app says it is casting but nothing happens at all on the TV. It appears the chromecast dongle is not communicating at all with your app. If I use the google cast app button on the tablet it mirrors the tablet screen via chromecast and I can see Squeeze Ctrl app on the TV this way. All my other chromecast apps work fine, it is only the button embedded in your app which appears not to work. As I said Im happy to use google cast to mirror Squeeze Ctrl app, just thought Id mention this as it seems related to the problem reported in the previous post. Cheers .. FYI, The chromecast button in the Squeeze Ctrl app on my tablet doesn't work either. It says it's casting but it ain't .. Doesn't worry me unduly as I just use the tablet's screencast button to mirror Squeeze Ctrl app to the TV instead, would be nice if it worked though. :-) kiwibrucie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31674 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hey Pas Tim, thanks for the heads up regarding the Full text search plugin conflict. I was having exactly the same problem and disabling it worked a treat. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
Hi Erland, Couple of weeks ago I stripped down my PC and completely re-installed LMS (V7.9.0). Since then I don't seem to be able to re-activate my unlimited license and use your plug-ins properly. Have tried refreshing license status via license manager plugin but doesn't seem to work (everything shows as not licensed except for custom libraries custom browse which show as expiring 31/01 06/02/15 respectively). Please advise what action is needed to get things going again. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: muso (production)
I agree with Blueice. Not withstanding your philosophy, it would be most advantageous to have the queue mirror the server playlist correctly. It is a PITA to have to keep shelling out into the LMS environment and detracts from the feel and ease of user operation of your ecosystem in my opinion.
