Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] pCP & iPeng | Volume jumps
ok..so we are in a similiar boat. I do not use the AW all the time to control the music but sometimes it is quite handy to stop/start the song and/or switch to another player. But in all "jump" cases, neither I used the watch nor the phone in that moment when it happened. Very weird ..sometimes I think Siri is playing games with me ;-) (although I do not use that at all). marflao's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57334 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113190 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] pCP & iPeng | Volume jumps
Just out of curiosity: do you also use an Apple Watch? I don´t recall anymore when those jumps occured (when i bought the AW back in August 2020 and/or when iOS 14 popped up). But I´m pretty sure that I haven´t had those issues from the beginning (when I started to use iPeng back in mid of 2017). marflao's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57334 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113190 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Quick update from my side: After the deinstallation of iPeng I used Material Skin for a couple of days without any annoying volume jumps. Nevertheless I reinstalled iPeng to give it another try but faced the same issue. Hence I deinstalled it again and dropped pippin a PM. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] pCP & iPeng | Volume jumps
I mentioned iPeng since it's the app I usually use to control my music (on my Android tab I use Orange squeeze but I almost all cases I use my iPhone). When the volume jumps on the Pi Zero it's of course audible but it's also visible in iPeng as well as on the apple watch (both volume bars are maxed out in most cases) . The Pi Zero's volume in LMS is not fixed (hence the volume jumps are possible). I'll give Material skin a try on my phone. marflao's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57334 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113190 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

First of all "Happy New Year" to all of you!! Unfortunately my issue is still there hence I'm thinking of setting up the "Kitchen" player with a newer version of pCP (just to give this a try to get rid of those volume jumps). Question: i) will pCP version 6.1 run on the Pi Zero (not sure if this Pi is powerful enough for that version) and ii) can the "Living room" player still remain on pCP 5.0 (or do I need to upgrade it to 6.1, too)? Or does anybody of you have a hint why those jumps do occur (and how to "avoid" them)? [SlimDevices: Plugins] pCP & iPeng | Volume jumps
Hi, I´m facing some weird situation lately and don´t know how to solve it. I´m currently using two PIs in my setup: i) "Living room": PI 3B running pCP 5.0 and LMS; connected to an external DAC => volume for this player is set to 100% (fixed) in LMS ii) "Kitchen" PI Zero WH running pCP 5.0 with HiFi Berry Dac+ Zero connected via RCA to an active speaker; volume is not set to fixed in LMS Players (and volume for the Kitchen PI) are controlled via iPeng (iPhone 8 w iOS 14.1). Problem is that sometimes the volume for the PI Zero jumps (sometimes to 100% or close to 100% or to almost 0). I have no clue why this happens (and I haven´t changed anything in regards to pCP- or LMS version (I´m on 7.9.2 btw)). The only thing I changed was the update to iOS 14 and 14.1. Hence I would appreciate your thoughts here. Thanks in advance. Guys, I'm getting a bit frustrated with my Riva Arena. Worked all fine until a couple of days ago. Battery went empty and when I plugged the Arena back to the power socket it didn't show up anymore as a player in LMS. Since then I did numerous times: 1) i) de-install Airplay Bridge in LMS ii) re-install Airplay Bridge in LMS 2) i) de-install Airplay Bridge in LMS ii) reset the Arena; then set it up in Google Home (as described in their "'Quick Start Guide' (https://rivanew-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/RIVA-QSG-2017-ENG.pdf)") iii) re-install Airplay Bridge in LMS 3) i) de-install Airplay Bridge in LMS ii) reset the Arena; then set it up with Airplay (also mentioned in the "Guide") iii) re-install Airplay Bridge in LMS But whatever I do the Arena won't be shown in the list of players in the config file. 28359 Would really apprecciate if somebody could give me a hint what needs to be done. Not sure if this has already been mentioned. Or maybe it's just an issue I'm facing. I'm also on iOS 13.1 on my iPhone 6s and don't see the "synch symbol" when trying to synchronize two players. Not a big issue though due to the fact that unsynch still works once I press in the area where it usually should be found. I made a quick video if that helps to illustrate the issue. https://mega.nz/#!3g1DzYwR marflao's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57334 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hmm how does this work in particular, castalla? Airplay plugin is needed therefore I can see the Riva which can then be controlled via iPeng (which is also used to control the Pi2)? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] how to stream music from NAS to Libratone ZIPP speakers (possibly via iPeng)?
>From the Libratrone specs the ZIPPs are capable of 24/96 files. So from that point of "flac" view you should be fine. I´m in a similiar situation like you since I bought a Riva Arena a couple weeks back and wanted to have it "in synch" with my living room system (Pi2 w picoreplayer; LMS runnning on a Syno 213). So I was fiddling around a bit with the 'squeeze2upnp plug in' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103728-Announce-UPnPBridge-integrate-UPnP-DLNA-players-with-LMS-(squeeze2upnp)) and could see the Riva besides my Pi2 in Orange Squeeze. But I had mixed results (sometimes it worked, sometimes notmost likely I need to dig deeper in it) so I installed minimserver and buppleUPnPserver on my NAS, created the Riva as a Open Home server and can now control the Riva via the Linn Kazoo app. OK...synch with the Pi is not the case and that´s one reason why i will remain "subscribed" to this thread because I´m also looking for a stable solution to synch both "renderers" (Pi2, Riva) controlling via iPeng on iOS and Orange Squeeze (on Android). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [HOW TO] Squeezelite player on Windows 8 step by step
Thanks for this tutorial and Ralphy for pointing me here ;-) I successfully followed the steps described in post #1 to set up Squeezelite via the command line. In my case I installed Squeezelite on a WIN 8 notebook (LMS runs on my NAS) and chose the ASIO driver of my external USB DAC (LHL GO2ASE). All good so far... even dsf files are played smoothly and synching between Squeezelite and my other player (a Pi2 w. PicorePlayer) works like a charm, too. I also tried the batch file approach but wasn´t able to "get a sound" via Squeezelite (either using the win32 or win64 binaries) therefore I removed nssm and went back to the "cmd" approach. Just one question from my side: is my understanding correct that once i started Squeezelite via the corresponding command that the command line window has to stay open as long as I intend to play something via Squeezelite? Or in other words: once the command line window is closed Squeezelite will be shut down as a player in LMS, correct?
