Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Hi- in the default skin, under the radio tab, there's an option to tune to (tune in, not "TuneIn") a URL, and from there save it as a favorite. in material, one can add a URL to the queue via the "+" button, but saving it adds the queue as a playlist, not as a favorite. is there a way to restore this function in Material? also, the background image in my instance of material always displays the Avett Brothers. while i like them, i can't remember the last time i listened to them. what behavior governs the display of this image? -- 4 TB Drobo-->FW 800-->mac mini-->Ethernet Transporter--> Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax-->Meridian G61 G61--> Nordost Red Dawn-->Primare 30.3 Primare-->Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Michael- i was able to connect the player to mysb.com, but i don't see it when i go to mysb.com in the web interface. i deleted the app there, reinstalled it, relogged in, and still don't see the player. so, on the TP, went to mysqueezebox-->my apps-->Sirius XM and got a GlobalLoginFailed error. other players continue to be ok. problem seems to be the player doesn't show up in the web gui of mysb, so there's no way to enable it in the app settings. -- 4 TB Drobo-->FW 800-->mac mini-->Ethernet Transporter--> Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax-->Meridian G61 G61--> Nordost Red Dawn-->Primare 30.3 Primare-->Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102225 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] 2 Transporters, 1 Sirius problem
I have a vexing problem with a transporter and listening to Sirius XM. I have 2 transporters, one connected via ethernet (silver) and one wifi (black). the latter i recently acquired used, and works flawlessly, except for listening to Sirius XM: streams stop after ~30 seconds, and i get the "you are no longer authorized to listen to this stream" error message. by way of troubleshooting, i have swapped the two, and the silver plays perfectly over wifi, while the black fails even on ethernet. HOWEVER! if i sync them, it works fine. for reference, I have two booms and a radio, and all three other boxes will play Sirius w/o a problem. Also, the problem ONLY effects SXM. ALL other internet streams, whether TuneIn, Spotify, Qobuz, work fine, as does content from my local collection. Both Transporters are running firmware 87, and wireless signal strength is 98%. Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 141485 any thoughts as to what the problem might be would be most appreciated. -- 4 TB Drobo-->FW 800-->mac mini-->Ethernet Transporter--> Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax-->Meridian G61 G61--> Nordost Red Dawn-->Primare 30.3 Primare-->Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102225 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I created the latter, created a Plugins directory as well, and restarted SC. I also added iTunesUpdate from the Plugins page in the SC Plugins tab in the web interface, and upon restarting got a message that "the plugin failed to load." i then tried installing the iTunesUpdate folder in the directory where all the other plugins appear to be located (see my prior post): Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/contents/server/Slim/Plugin/ restarted SC, and voilá, the plugin loaded, and i was able to adjust settings, and check the box for direct update. however, it does not (appear) to work, as play counts in iTunes are not updated. iTunesUpdate does appear as a menu item in the Extras menu of the SC web interface, but nothing shows as playing. i tried uninstalling the plugin in the web interface tab, but after unchaecking the plugin, applying the change, and restarting. it's still there. i have not yet removed the directory manually, but will try that in a bit. sounds like it may be in the wrong place, or it's in the right place, but perhaps there are lines of code that reference the directory structure listed in the instructions? -- 4 TB Drobo-->FW 800-->mac mini-->Ethernet Transporter--> Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax-->Meridian G61 G61--> Nordost Red Dawn-->Primare 30.3 Primare-->Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91737 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

bumping this again, to see whether anyone can offer some help with installation, including the new PM file. I'm on a Mac, running 7.7.2 I installed the plugin via the plugins page on SC 7.7.2. downloaded the plugin from James Craigs site, and looked for a PM file to replace with the new one, but was unable to find one. also, looked in the SC PreferencePane package, and was unable to find an iTunesUpdate folder in the plugin directory: Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/contents/server/Slim/Plugin/ note, this is where all other plugins are located. any thoughts on how to install, including the new "non-Glue" PM? -- 4 TB Drobo-->FW 800-->mac mini-->Ethernet Transporter--> Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax-->Meridian G61 G61--> Nordost Red Dawn-->Primare 30.3 Primare-->Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91737 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Erland, appreciate your help, but the solution was a bit more effort than made sense. I've gone back to iTunes for this particular type of playlisting- doesn't sound as good as my TP, but it's far more straightforward to create a simple smart playlist. cheers/netchord netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95776 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Erland's Plugins and play count based playlists
So, I'm trying to accomplish something in LMS that is extremely straightforward in iTunes and most other PC media managers: build a smart playlist based on a predefined set of criteria, in this case genre & play count. these are not "more like this" or Genius style playlists, where the playlist is derived from a seed track or artist. in this case, I would like to have something like: "all tracks where Genre = Jazz AND Play Count is less than 2" I've installed TrackStat and Dynamic Playlist, but do not see any obvious way to accomplish this. any help would be greatly appreciated. netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95776 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster plug in config problem
So, I want to setup the IR Blaster plugin so I can control volume (and perhaps power) via the squeezepad and ipeng apps. Here's my Setup: LMS Version: 7.7.1 - r33735 Mac Mini, OS 10.7.2 Logitech Transporter Meridian G61 controller The G61 has an IR input jack on the back, and I'd like to connect an IR blaster cable from the TP to the G61. I've installed the IRBlaster plugin, and downloaded the Meridian conf file. Here's where my problem begins: the instructions say to place the conf file in the following directory: /Users/netchord/Library/Caches/Squeezebox/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/IRBlaster however, said directory does not exist on my system. in fact, there is no "Library" folder in the "netchord" directory under Users. I have tried to create one, but receive an error message that the name is already in use! there is a Library/Cache folder path at the root of the hard drive, and also in System/Library/Cache. Neither path has a Squeezebox folder. nor is there one in ApplicationSupport under either path. if i follow /Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/(show)Contents/server/slim/Plugins i find all the other plugins that are directly installed by LMS, but no folder labled IRBlaster. so...how do i stall the Meridian conf file, or, since Meridian uses standard RC5 controls, and i only care about volume (and maybe power) perhaps i don't need to, and can use the default settings? -- netchord -- 4 TB Drobo-->FW 800-->mac mini-->Ethernet Transporter--> Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax-->Meridian G61 G61--> Nordost Red Dawn-->Primare 30.3 Primare-->Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94051 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] DynamicPlaylist: questions re browsing and saving
So, I've installed both TrackStat and DynamicPlaylist, and am running 7.6.1. my goal is to be able to create *and save* dynamicplaylists based on a combination of genre and playcount, ie never played songs in Jazz Vocal. from the SS web interface, I can browse DynamicPLaylists-->Genres-->All Genres-->Jazz Vocal, and then choose the stat "Never Played Songs" and load the result into the play queue. works beautifully. however, i cannot find a way to save this result set as a DynamicPlaylist. the only options are Play, or add to queue. 2nd, in any interface other than the web interface, browsing as above stops at "All Genres." This true whether I use a Controller, iPeng, and the LT iPad app, or indeed, drill down via the transporter's or Boom's front panel controls. the result is that I can load All genres, but this means i get opera, jazz, classic rock, countryeverything, mixed together in one playlist. not a very satisfying experience. is there a way to enable browsing the full path above via other control interfaces? this would go a long way towards mitigating the inability to save a particular rule set as a DP. thx/netchord -- netchord -- 4 TB Drobo-->FW 800-->mac mini-->Ethernet Transporter--> Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax-->Meridian G61 G61--> Nordost Red Dawn-->Primare 30.3 Primare-->Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89559 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iTunesUpdate plugin not working on 7.4
sorry for the delay in coming back to this, i recently switched computers, and had to go through the process again, which did go smoother this time. i think the key is to do everything inexactly the order the instructions suggest, and even then, you will have to force install. the subsequent tests will still fail, but the plugin will work, at least that's been my experience. in the prior instance, i ended up deleting the plugin, install logs, and just starting over. that system was OS 10.5.8, this is OS 10.6.2, not sure if that should make a difference. also, although the instructions are not clear on this point, the "dev tools" are in fact the xcode tools, and you need to run the full xcode installer from the install CD. here's the output from the "force install", after which the plugin does work: cpan[2]> force install Mac::AppleScript::Glue Running install for module 'Mac::AppleScript::Glue' Running make for J/JL/JLABOVITZ/Mac-AppleScript-Glue-0.03.tar.gz Has already been unwrapped into directory /Users/basso/.cpan/build/Mac-AppleScript-Glue-0.03-p0N7sL Has already been made Running make test PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /usr/bin/perl "-MExtUtils::Command::MM" "-e" "test_harness(0, 'blib/lib', 'blib/arch')" t/*.t t/basicv-string in use/require non-portable at /Users/basso/.cpan/build/Mac-AppleScript-Glue-0.03-p0N7sL/blib/lib/Mac/AppleScript/Glue.pm line 234. t/basicok t/finder...v-string in use/require non-portable at /Users/basso/.cpan/build/Mac-AppleScript-Glue-0.03-p0N7sL/blib/lib/Mac/AppleScript/Glue.pm line 234. t/finder...ok t/pod..Undefined subroutine &main::pod_ok called at t/pod.t line 26. # Looks like your test died before it could output anything. t/pod..dubious Test returned status 255 (wstat 65280, 0xff00) DIED.
