Hi I like the way you're keeping the SC look feel. I agree re the importance of keeping a cache for speedy performance. Could you keep this on the PPC itself, rather than on another device? I'd prefer to add some memory there than have to leave a PC running all the time. I have a large music collection, so I'd suggest the following: On the text-list views for Artist Album, have a row across the top for A-Z to allow jumping to a particular point without having to hit Next 25 times. I'd also suggest taking a look at Telcanto, see if that gives you any other ideas. nice work -- netim3 netim3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=219 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44558 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: IR Blaster/Repeater Sensitivity
Thanks for the quick response Felix, but that isn't it. The Sky+ box is inside an aluminium cabinet and doesn't receive any signal unless the IR repeater is enabled. Are you certain my guess isn't what's actually going on? Is there any way I can test whether the SB thinks it's receiving two commands in quick succession by using one or more of the server debugging options? The only other remote (excuse the pun) possibility I can think of is that the IR signal is reflecting inside the cabinet - how likely would that be? tks Natan -- netim3 netim3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=219 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23153 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster/Repeater Sensitivity
Using IR Blaster in Repeater mode, I find that a single (and relatively short) press of a Sky+ remote button results in the command being acted upon more than once. For example: Pressing page down on the Sky+ remote when in the TV Guide menu would cause the page to scroll down twice Pressing 'program up' on the remote would cause the system to change up two channels rather than one. Using the remote directly with the Sky+ box doesn't cause problems, so the 'sensitivity' to anything but the shortest key-press is being introduced by the Repeater. If I take great care to just give the remote the lightest shortest tap, then the command only gets acted upon once, so I'm assuming this is an issue of the SB IR Repeater sensitivity. Is there any way to adjust this or introduce a delay such that the SB only forwards one command every 0.X seconds? tks Natan -- netim3 netim3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=219 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23153 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

See if you have any luck. :( mike I have multiple SB's, and I'm assuming that the MIP people would suspect I might have more than one, so they'd either need to allow me to select between available default players, or simply pass the playlist through to SlimServer and then allow me to play on the SB of my own choosing. Unfortunately, I can neither see any GUI functionality to select from available players, and nor can does the 'send to player' button ship the playlist to SlimServer (it doesn't seem to do anything I can discern), so I'm stuck like you.
