I managed to find the 3rd party app. It doesn't work for me. From the log: [13:15:35.368199] main:448 /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotify/Bin/arm-linux/spotifyd 2.3.8 started ( libspotify: 12.1.51.g86c92b43 Release Linux-armv5 ) [13:15:38.405503] log_message:81 log: 11:15:38.405 I [offline_authorizer.cpp:297] Unable to login offline: no such user Should I disable the "official" Spotify app? It doesn't seem to make any difference. Do I still need a premium account for it to work, given the recent relaxation in Spotify's usage conditions? The log message "Unable to login offline: no such user" makes me think that a premium account is still needed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hello, I have just subscribed to Spotify, and wouild like to listen to it using my Squeezebox 3. I have installed LMS v7.7.3 on my Synology DS213 (non-Intel CPU). When I display the LMS server Settings page, I can see the official Spotify app v1.0 provided by Logitech on the "Active Plugins" section. This app has no "Settings" button available, but in any case it only supports the Logitech Touch and Radio models. However, there is no Spotify app provided by Triode on any of the "3rd Party" plugin subsections. Have I missed something? I tried searching this thread, I found nothing, and it has become too big to manually scroll through all the posts. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Many thanks, Great answer. I found the "3rd Party Spotify Plugin" exactly as specified. Paul garym wrote: > very simple actually > > 1. yes, you need premium subscription > 2. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I'm interested in using Spotify on my S3. I found this forum thread but I can't go through all all 600 replies. Is there a list of supported features? Do I still have to have a premium subscription to try it out? Spotify has announced that it is now available in Belgium. Is it a simple question of installing this plug-in, to be able to use it? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
I've started using this plugin under Windows XP, and it does everything I need. Congratulations to all and many thanks for the hard work! I have three more questions: - Excuse this newbie's ignorance, when you speak of Idle mode on the SB, do you mean the situation where it is not being used to play music or a radio station? This is what I have observed: the SC's host machine is not stopped or suspended when the SB is active. - Is the configured Shutdown/Suspend action postponed or cancelled if a rescan of the music folder is in progress, whether initiated from the SC or from the SB? If so, I suppose that the action configured under XP's power setting takes precedence in this case? That is, I should ensure that XP's power settings kick in after the rescan is finished. - I don't fully understand the "Perform end-of-day action". Can this be configured so that, for example at 2am, even if the SB is not in Idle mode, a forced shutdown/suspend of the SC machine is done. This will ensure that the host SC machine is always stopped or suspended during night hours, even if I forget to first set the SB to Idle mode. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Question about Server Standby Control from SB
Hello, I'm a relative newbie to the SB and the SC. I've been using v6.5 until I upgraded to SC v7.3.1. I use an old Dell laptop running Windows XP SP2. I notice from the web interface page at Settings->BasicSettings->Plugins that the plugin "Windows: Prevent System Standby While Playing" is now included by default in the standard installation. Is this the same plugin that was previously available as an optional download in v6.5? This version of the plugin I had previous used could be configured to specify a time period during which the plugin would be active, so that for example, the plugin would allow the machine to go into standby after 2:00am. Now, with this latest plugin, as far as I can tell, there is no way to configure the plugin, and the machine never goes into standby. In fact, to allow the XP standby feature to work, I have to prevent SC running as a Windows service, and reboot the machine. Simply stopping SC does not re-enable the XP standby feature. While getting ready to post this, I noticed this post on the 3rd Party Plugins user forum: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 "This is the release candidate 4 version (updated 20081031) of the SrvrPowerCtrl plugin." Is this the same plugin, or something completely different? It would be nice to be able to configure when the plugin is not active, to allow the macine to go into standby. Can this plugin do this? I notice that the feature summary includes the following: * Wait until sleep playing has concluded before shutdown/suspend/etc. * Monitor attached players and shutdown the server after an idle period. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Not all RTE radio stations work with alienBBC plug-in
Hello, I managed to successfully install the Alien BBC plugin together with mplayer. All the radio stations seem to work except for RTE (Irish radio) Radio 1, whereas 2FM works fine. From the log, it seems to be a problem with mplayer, in particular the error message: Failed to get a SDP description from URL "rtsp://89.207.56.39/broadcast/radio1.rm": cannot handle DESCRIBE response: RTSP/1.0 404 Not Found When I used mplayer with the station that works (using the URL printed in the log): HP7510:/ # mplayer rtsp://89.207.56.7/broadcast/2fm.rm mplayer: could not connect to socket mplayer: Connection refused Failed to open LIRC support. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC: Many thanks
I wanted to post this, because I haven't seen many thank-you posts on these forums. I finally got my slimserver working on suse linux last weekend, and today got AlienBBC working. Many thanks for a great plugin. It was even pre-configured to work with RTE radio, which I cannot receive on my hi-fi kit here in Belgium.
