[SlimDevices: Plugins] Ability to switch off/on Inguz plugin?
Hi, I've been using the plugin for a few weeks now. Technically, it's a great piece of code. Using it as a EQ so far, didn't get to measure my room yet. I'm not sure I'll ever get to it, since I prefer using it old school - tune it up to how I believe certain piece should sound. One thing that comes out of it is that for some music pieces, I like using it, sometimes, I'd prefer to switch it of. The only way to do it I found so far is to uncheck it in the file types server settings. This somewhat defeats the concept of SB, I don't want to run up to the PC terminal every time I change my mind. Alternatively, using flat setting probably does the same thing, but with added attenuation and with putting the strain on PC. I'm not sure that flat EQ settings sounds exactly the same as no EQ. So, my question is whether it would be posible to make this plug-in switchable from the SB remote? Thks, K -- slimkid The sound stage will open up, bass will tighten and the imaging will improve. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Ability to switch off/on Inguz plugin?
hi, thks a lot, both for the plugin and for the explanation. Good to know that flat preset doesn't change the original - since the levels are different, it's difficult to test. Since we are there, do you mind answering a couple of questions with regards to the levels? I have played with the attenuation setting and pretty much, anything above -12Db causes a lot of clipping messages to show in the log. Does that mean that my music is mostly compressed (which I doubt, since it's mostly good quality classic and jazz), or with that parameter the plug in is countering something internal that increased levels. What's the relationship between reply gain and plugin. Are my reply gain tags passed to SB after plugin, and more importantly, are they still accurate. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Biography plugin - can't find Mozart?
Oh, don't get me wrong, I appreciate very much all that you do for this software - thank you. It's just that I found this strange. And, after checking it at their site, yes, string Mozart returns a lot of %Moz%art% crap, including a full name, but not a single reference to just 'Mozart'. In my library, I didn't see a need to include anything else, other than 'Mozart' in my artist tags. After all, there's only one Mozart in the world that counts :) -- slimkid The sound stage will open up, bass will tighten and the imaging will improve.
