Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Local Player plugin and Squeezelite for Linux/Windows/OSX

2013-03-29 Thread snoozer

Thank you very much Triode, that did the trick. I put the
libFLAC.8.dylib file in the same directory the player is and right
now flac is being sent as is and decoded by the player flawlessly.

On the same line, when will be possible to decode ogg vorbis ?. I am
eager to use spotify that as you know streams in ogg format.

best regards
Pepe

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Local Player plugin and Squeezelite for Linux/Windows/OSX

2013-03-28 Thread snoozer

Hi @Triode,

I am testing the your player in Mac OS X Mountain Lion. The thing is
that my flacs are streamed as pcm, as per the server log. I have
reviewed the file types section and I have a rule that sets flac to
flac and also flac to pcm. If I disable the flac to pcm then the server
log says that it cannot play that file.

My setup is a windows 7 server LMS 7.8 and a Macbook Pro in the same
local area network. It happens that if I install the plugin (player) on
the windows 7 machine, that one is able to play the same flac files
using the rule flac to flac, as it should be.

do you happen to have an idea for that strange behavior?. I though that
the player was able to play flacs natively in Mac OSX as well.

best regards
Pepe

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2010-07-30 Thread snoozer

Thank you Triode,

I did find the url of the repository, and I even managed to download
several versions of the plugin (compressed in zip format, right).

What I do not know right now, is where to copy the unzipped Spotify
folder that I get ... trust me that I tried to restart the server
several times, re-check the plugins secction...and nothing happens,
that is why I am trying to install the new version manually.

The beta9 was working quite well in my Mac as I posted before, but it
stopped working once the server automatically updated to version
beta10...and from there I messed around with files here and there, that
is why probably now the automatic updated does not work.

What do you suggest me to do ? ...anything from a complete fresh
reinstall to modifying files is welcomed.

best
Pepe

Intel Macbook, Mac OS X 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard). It works in 64 bits ,

The spotify plugin works beautifully in the same machine in dual boot

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2010-07-13 Thread snoozer

Super thanks for the plugin Triode, this is perhaps the most expected
within the user comunity !!

I have tried with my Squeezebox Duet and Windows 7, it works
beautifully. My hardware is a Macbook in dual boot with Bootcamp. No
problems here, and the plugin makes listening music so enjoyable that
cannot stop saying thank you.

My next natural step was to try the same but in Mac OS X 10.6.4 with a
different result. Diving in the Spotify plugin log, I found a line like
the following:

main:570 bad player: unable to play on this player: -1

Everything works...but no music at all. I can select my playlist, or
even search by artist if I want it, but I was not able to get any music
from it. Do you have an idea what could I try now ?. Just let me know
anything is needed to debug this.

Just for you to know, I have a premium Spotify account so 320kb stream
is selected in the plugin setup.

best regards
Pepe
