after a fresh installation of my server, I'm not able to convince SDT to show up on my SqueeBox (SB). [SlimDevices: Plugins] problems with Information Screen / Mail plugin
I fail to get the Mail + Information Screen plugins working on my controller. (server: 7.5.1 - r30836) the mail headers get fetched as I can see in the servers web interface under Extras - Mail, but the Controller shows no reaction. I installed the Information screen from erlands testing repository. (both of his repositories are in my list). I installed the information screen applet on the Controller. In the Information Screen settings under Various Settings I set Screen configuration directory to /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Mail/Screens and Screen templates directory to /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Mail/ScreenTemplates. Is this correct, or should these be newly created directories? Under Manage Screens I selected under Default / New Mail customized and selected to display play,idle,off,alarm. I wanted to test KDF's email plugin. I added his repository, but I can not see the Email plugin in the list of repositories. As far as I remember, the problem was the same for weather.com and wunderground. I solved the problem by specifying the data to be displayed in m/h instead of in km/h. By this I got the correct display in km/h. Hi, SuperDateTime shows for the wind speed either Calm or a number with a lot of digits, depending on the weather station. I don't know whether the number is meaningful, but I assume it is not. Is there a format, the displayed wind speed should have? [SlimDevices: Plugins] SuperDateTime not working with SC 7.3.3
Hi, SuperdateTime worked on my squeezebox with squeezecenter 7.4. Due to the chaotic behaviour of the latest 7.4 updates on the controller, however, I downgraded squeezecenter to 7.3.3. The problem is now that SuperDateTime does not work any longer. The settings were preserved with the downgrade. I deactivated and subsequently reactivated the plugin but this had no effect. yes, Amazon changed access on 15th of august. I don't know how the plugin works, but if it is based on perl and the module Net::Amazon than an update of Net::Amazon from CPAN might solve the problem.
