Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
I'm not sure whether this is related to the current conversation, but for a year or two I have been using UPnPBridge with my Kef LSX speakers. It has been a most successful partnership, allowing me to control (switch on and adjust volume) the speakers via LMS. As of yesterday, UPnPBridge does not move on at the end of a track. I had this problem intermittently when I first set UPnPBridge up and I overcame it by using the Flow option and transcoding to PCM. That is still set, but playback stops at the end of each track whether the source is Qobuz or locally-stored FLACs. For now I've switched back to using Toslink (RPi with a HAT) but I do miss the convenience of UPnPBridge. Is it likely that a recent change to the plugin is causing my problem? stevebaggs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62476 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Budge74 wrote: > And it wouldnt control power and source input, in a similar way to the > Denon app, which would be a real boon to me. Starting a DLNA stream to the LSXs switches them on here, and while you can't switch them off directly I'm sure you know they will switch themselves off after a period of inactivity (unless you tell them not to in the Kef settings). Starting a DLNA stream will also cause the LSXs to switch to WiFi and start playing that stream, so you can automatically switch source to DLNA from whatever it was playing previously. You can't use the bridge to switch away from WiFi, obviously. This thread has prompted me to reinstall the bridge and give it another go, and despite what I said earlie, I've been using it for the past couple of hours without a single hiccup. Perhaps things have moved on since I last tried it, and that's very handy for exactly the reasons you gave - no need for the remote, or the Kef app, LMS does it all. :) stevebaggs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62476 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115174 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Squeezer is good, but if you use Material Skin then there is no need for an app, any browser will do - it works really well on an Android phone (and probably an iPhone, but I haven't got one). stevebaggs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62476 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114109 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

That was my initial reaction to the change, but then I discovered that you can get to the settings for both the server and any player using the Information item on the top level menu. The server and all the players are listed, and under each one is the option to go direct to the settings for that device. I find that quicker and more convenient than the "old" approach, where server and player settings appeared on the top-level menu. I'm not actually sure whether this facility is new or I've only just noticed it, but it's very useful. stevebaggs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62476 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Still working well this morning, and I had no problems after my post last night. I had a handful of retries on WS early this morning, and nothing since I switched to R3. Of course it may be that whatever networking problem was causing the failures isn't present at the moment, but the key thing is that the plugin is coping if they do happen and I haven't heard any dropouts at all - which was the objective. Happy bunny. No idea what the long run of failures was yesterday, but I haven't seen a repeat. stevebaggs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62476 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'll add my thanks to all the others for this plugin - I live in dread of the day that Auntie Beeb locks us out for good, but while it lasts I'm really enjoying what you have provided. I haven't seen this anywhere else so maybe it's related to my setup, but I'm getting occasional dropouts of around three or four seconds duration when listening to live radio. This happens on R3, R4 and WS, and I grabbed these three lines from the log this morning:- [20-12-15 11:00:26.0911] Plugins::BBCSounds::ProtocolHandler::__ANON__ (713) error fetching http://as-dash-uk-live.akamaized.net/pool_904/live/uk/bbc_radio_three/bbc_radio_three.isml/dash/bbc_radio_three-audio=32-251254690.m4s [20-12-15 11:09:04.3406] Plugins::BBCSounds::ProtocolHandler::__ANON__ (713) error fetching http://as-dash-uk-live.akamaized.net/pool_904/live/uk/bbc_radio_three/bbc_radio_three.isml/dash/bbc_radio_three-audio=32-251254771.m4s [20-12-15 11:51:57.1179] Plugins::BBCSounds::ProtocolHandler::__ANON__ (713) error fetching http://as-dash-uk-live.akamaized.net/pool_904/live/uk/bbc_radio_three/bbc_radio_three.isml/dash/bbc_radio_three-audio=32-251255173.m4s I'm running LMS Version: 8.0.1 - 1607593012 on a Pi3, which connects to the router via Ethernet.
