All users as well. As I use iPeng, I tend to install plugins to the folder specified by it. Skins that don't need acces to a skin can go to Code: Library/Application Support/Squeezecenter/html Plugins that don't need to provide their own skin (that is: more than their plugin files, like iPeng does) can go to Code: Library/Application Support/Squeezecenter/Plugins but plugins that provide a skin that needs access to the plugin code (e.g. iPeng) need to go into Code: /Library/PreferencePanes/SqueezeCenter.prefPane/Contents/server/Plugins/ At least that one gets wiped.Maybe the whole behavior is worth filing a bug, maybe the best workaround would be to enable plugins in Code: Library/Application Support/Squeezecenter/Plugins to provide their own skin... -- pippin --- see iPeng at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50838 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.1 Update deleted all plugins on OS X
My experience is the same as Pippin's - plugins always get wiped. Look on the status page of SC - there it lists all the folder that SC checks for plugins. As Pippin, says some plugins do not work in all folders (this was the case for LazySearch and iPeng IIRC). Currently I copy all my plugins into the folder recommended by iPeng. Not sure if is the "right" folder (as plugins get wiped out by new installs), but everything works and it's quick to copy my plugins after the end of the install. -- chrisinparis chrisinparis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11963 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50838 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Always happens to me when I update SC on Mac. Maybe it's different whether you use the "Plugins" folder in the "Library" path or in the "Application Support" section. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.1 Update deleted all plugins on OS X
For some reason your installation is wiping out that plugins folder. this didn't occur with my installation of 7.1 from 7.02. I'm running osx 10.5.4. also there's been a nice change in the squeezecenter software in that if you delete your cache folder all of your settings still remain intact. in the past when I deleted my cache folder all of my settings would evaporate as well. -- exile exile's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4579 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50838 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.1 Update deleted all plugins on OS X
Updated to 7.1 from 7.0 on Mac OS X (10.4.11) PPC a couple of days ago. Noticed that all my plugins were deleted. Is this expected behaviour? Or did something go wrong on my system? Fortunately I had a feeling that this might happen, so I was able to restore from a backup made just a couple of hours before. I was thinking that this might be because the copy behavior on a mac is different from windows? If you copy a folder to a location that has a folder with the same name, then on macs the entire old folder with all its contents gets replaced, unlike windows where it is essentially a merge, and only contents that have exactly the same name get replaced. We touched upon this in a couple of earlier threads, but I don't recall any conclusion. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38858 -- Nikhil Nikhil's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=993 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50838 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
