[SlimDevices: Plugins] Cant install pluggin.

2007-02-04 Thread Anne

Not sure what I am doing wrong, tried to install LazySearch, it says you
can copy the file from your pc, and then drop it in the slimserver under
pluggins.
Under pluggins I have a lot of standard pluggins, but I cannot copy the
LazySearch into this box

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Cant install pluggin.

Anne I guess you're using Windows? You would normally be able to
use My Computer to navigate to

C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Plugins

and just drag a copy of LazySearch2.pm into it (or use Copy and Paste
to place it there).

So when you say you 'can't copy the LazySearch' into this box', what do
you mean by 'box', what exactly are you trying to copy, and what copying
procedure are you trying to use? Have you extracted the .pm from the
.zip file?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Cant install pluggin.

2007-02-04 Thread Anne

yes, windows XP.
As far as I know I should go to Start, All Programmes, SlimServer,
SlimServer.
Then I get to my page at SlimServer where I see my music etc.
I click on Pluggins and I see a frame where all the standard pluggins
are located.
I understood from the directions on the Lazy site that I could copy my
extracted file, and then drop it in this pluggin box but it doesnt
work.
Not sure how I do this thing through My Computer .

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Cant install pluggin.

2007-02-04 Thread ceejay

Ah, no, you seem to be going to the web interface and looking at the
current list of plugins. That only shows you what is already installed,
you can't install anything new there.

You need to use Windows Explorer to navigate to the Program
Files\Slimserver\Server\Plugins directory. Then drop the .pm file in
there.

Anne Ceejay is right - you can't install the LazySearch.pm2 file on
the web page. Click 'Start', and then right-click My Computer, and
select 'Explore'. You'll then be able to open Local Disc (C:) and
navigate your way to

C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Plugins

Put the LazySearch.pm2 file in that folder.

Best wishes
