It's only available if you also have the TrackStat plugin installed.

The Ratings menu works almost like this, so I would suggest that you
install the TrackStat plugin and have a look at the Ratings menu.

It might also be possible to try to set the "Max rating value"
parameter for the Rating Tag scanning module to something like 2000,
this should result in that you get ratings between 1-5 in the menu you
just created. However, please note that this will result in that
ratings in Song Info page and other places are shown as 2/100 instead
of 20/100, so I would suggest that you install TrackStat instead.

erland thankyou for taking the time to reply and more importantly taking
the time to write the plugin!

I have already selected the "write rating to slimserver" but
unfortunately I couldnt find a standard "ratings" menu. Anyway your
second option worked! However one minor tweak is required which I
cannot work out. MediaMonkey uses a 5 star rating which is a bit
easier to filter between - is there anyway I can do something along the
lines of...

Any ratingtag between 0 and 20 display as 1
21 and 40 as 2
41 and 60 as 3
61 and 80 as 4
81 and 100 as 5?

That would be great - if not no problems it is already working well!

Kind regards and thanks again...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse Issue: Ratings

2009-02-05 Thread erland

At the moment there isn't any good way to use the rating information
scanned with the Rating Tag scanning module unless you check the "Write
ratings to slimserver" option in the Rating Tag scanning module
settings. If this option is checked the MediaMonkey ratings will
overwrite any ratings in SqueezeCenter and this also results in the the
standard "Ratings" menu or menu template included with Custom Browse.

If you don't want to do this, you will need to do as you have already
done but you will need to select the "Customize configuration" option
when creating the menu. After this you will need to replace 'customtag'
with 'ratingtag' everywhere in the menu configuration XML.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse Issue: Ratings

2009-02-05 Thread vilbs

HI there I am using the fantastic Custom Scan and Custom Browse plugin
to try and integrate my MediaMonkey tagged ratings. Using the test
"Custom Scan Info" in CB I get everything correctly ie Custom Scan Info
-> ratingtag -> RATING -> List of Artists who have ratings...

However if I try and create a new menu I get nothing :( I have
entered...

Manage Menu -> Create new menu ->...

Menu Name = MM Ratings
Menu Group =
Menu sort order (1-100) =
Tag name = RATING
Sort tag name =
Sort by ARTISTSORT =
Play all songs in selected custom tag = ticked
Only include on these players (empty = all) =
Exclude from these players =
Filename: MM_ratings_tracks.cb.values.xml
Customize configuration =

With the above all I get if I navigate to MM Ratings is nothing! No
tracks matched my criteria :(

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. I just know this is
an awesome plugin - once I can get it to work!!

Many thanks...
