[SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists as Favorites and Alarms
I'd be forever grateful if someone post a quick tutorial on: 1. How to set up a Favorite that plays a Dynamic Playlist 2. How to set up an Alarm that plays a Dynamic Playlist Thanks in advance. My kids (the NBA kids who got me to help Greg debug SuperDateTime whenever ESPN changed their web pages) are now fascinated by Dynamic Playlists but none of us can figure out how to use them any way other than playing them from the SQL Playlist menu. Am I missing something obvious? If it helps or matters, the playlist in question has these attributes: -- PlaylistName:Top Rated KIDS -- PlaylistGroups:KIDS Filename: topratedkids.sql.xml I've spent the better part of this evening fooling around and it's just defeated me. Consider this me throwing in the towel... Some info on what I'm running: SqueezeCenter 7.3.2 - 24695 (the latest release version on the web site, i.e., not running a nightly) and the latest version of Erland's excellent plugins via the Extension Downloader (Dynamic Playlist 2.7; SQL Playlist 2.4; Trackstat 2.8). Thanks so much. Maybe this was obvious to others, so simple really, but it really just completely eluded me. Well, you've made two kids very happy, they can now rate songs to their hearts' content and be woken up in the morning by a nice random mix of their favorites. I would like to set 'Not played songs' as a favorite I can play 'Not played songs' when I choose it from the Dynamic Playlist menu, but when I set it as favorite, nothing happens. I have set it as a favorite in advanced settings, too. Maybe it's the OS? Maybe it's the >OS? Dynamic Playlist has its own Favourites list (i.e. Browse > Dynamic Playlists > Favourites), which can be selected through Dynamic Playlist Settings. You can also bookmark a Dynamic Favourite as a SBS Favourite (e.g. in WebUI by clicking the heart icon next to a dynamic playlist). So what type of "Favourite" are you having trouble with? Thanks for answering Phil. I will try to rephrase: I can select any of the dynamic playlist as favorites, and they appear in my favorites list, but there's no playlist generated when I press play - nothing happens. What Web UI page, or from what type of player? Are there any errors reported in the SBS log? Not sure what the problem could be - you might need to ask the Author (Erland). Are there any reported errors when the server starts up? method problem you had problem with in your plugin integrating with
Dynamic Playlist plugin ?

Please try if the 2.8.4 version of Dynamic Playlist which I just
released solves this.
