[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM

2012-01-02 Thread mossief1965

Hi.

I have two squeezebox players a duet in the kitchen and a Radio in the
bedroom. I have a subscription to LastFM and I can use this with no
problems on the radio in the bedroom but not the player in the kitchen.
I get a message that it's not available in my country. I live in
Ireland. The only way I can connect via the Kitchen player is if I use
a UK vpn on my PC first but this is not an issue on the other player.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM question

2005-10-20 Thread mkosma

I've had slimscrobbler running for a while and today decided to try
lastfm radio. I installed the plugin and restarted the server, then
entered my login information in the server settitgs. (FYI I'm using
the 10-20 nightly 6.2 build.)

Now I see LastFM under Internet Radio on the sb2. When I select it, it
gives me a message saying "Press play to start LastFM..."

I hit play, and the screen flashes "Connecting to play", then returns
to the "Press play to start" screen. After a while (screensaver delay)
the sb reverts to Now Playing, and shows LastFM and 00:00. No sound, no
action - looks like something is missing.

Enabled debug, here's what I get:

2005-10-20 08:56:50.3348 LastFM: Connecting to
http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/radio/np.php?session=c8285cbec0191a07b0781ba7c834ec7f
2005-10-20 08:56:50.4309 LastFM: Setting timer for 60 seconds for
80:45:d1:58:68:cc
2005-10-20 08:56:50.6605 LastFM: streaming = false

This repeats every 60 seconds.

Also, if I paste the http link into the browser, I get a page that says
merely "streaming = false".

Any suggestions on what I need to do? Do I need a player or something
installed from lastfm? I have never streamed audio from the site
before.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] lastfm+winamp

2006-01-22 Thread will82

hi there!

i'm using slimserver for streaming lastfm through winamp instead of the
(rather ugly) lastfm player.

this way, i can leave winamp on top; track details are shown in the
(minimized) main/pledit windows and I press ctrl-l to open the media
library and control slimserver through the minibrowser: edit
winamp.ini:
'here' (http://www.last.fm/forum/898/_/9996/_/90616) is how you do it;
but you have to replace the value with http://localhost:900O/,
obviously..

i use the handheld skin, which looks great with my clearone winamp
skin

but:

the last.fm commands are only accessible under home>internet radio>last
fm

--> it would be great to have these buttons in the 'status' section!
anyone interested in writing such a skin?

ofr else, if you guys have some other way of working around this?

of course, a real plugin would be much better, but it seems that this
isn't gonna happen in the near future..

sorry for my terrible english...

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM Tags?

2006-08-13 Thread Plano_Mike

I'm really enjoying LastFM.

The web site has various tags fow which radio stations can be created.

Is there a way to get the SB to play LastFM recommendations based on
LastFM tags? I'm hoping there's some syntax I don't know about that
can be typed into the station box on the Slimserver page to make it
happen.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM Rating

2007-05-12 Thread fka278

While in the playing mode listening to LastFM I can not rate
the songs, e.g. ban , love, skip.
I have to go back, select internet radio/ Last FM to arrive back at
playing again. Then I'm able to rate. What's wrong?

A second question to Last FM : How can I select an interpret or title
from the remote at SB like at Pandora?

Thank you.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM questions

2007-06-24 Thread -Stef-

I have installed both the player software of LastFM and the LastFM
plugin on my computer and I can play LastFM through my SB3, but I have
some questions.

First of all, am I correct that I have to select a genre/artist in the
software/player before I can receive that genre on my SB3?

So lets say I want to listen to artists like Tool on my SB I have to
open the software and type Tool. When I then turn on my SB and select
LastFM, I will hear Tool alike artists? Is that the correct way to do
it?

Second, when I play LastFM on my SB the volume is very(!) low. I have
to turn the volume way up compared to the rest of internet radio
stations or music thru SS. Does anybody know why that is?

And last, the software of LastFM and the plugins don't work together.
The player stops when I turn on LastFM on my SB. Is that a known bug?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM Problems

2008-02-12 Thread Tokyosi

I have recently started having problems with last FM.
When I type an Artist's name in the "similar to" box then hit the play
button nothing happens nor does the name appear in the list of
stations. Occasionally LastFm selects a random "similar to" artist, I
can not see a connection with that artist i type in, and continues to
play and list artists connected to the one it selected and I now can
not delete those from the stations list. Can anyone shed some light? I
am using Slimserver 6.5.4 on OSx and have downloaded the latest
versions of LastFm and scrobbler.
Thank you in advance

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM troubles

2008-02-18 Thread Phil Meyer
I'm happy that I can now stream something from LastFM in SC7.0, having fixed
the issue with the bitrate string. James said he would put this in the next
release.

However, there's still some problems:

1. Reliance on Pandora plugin for Love and Hate icons. I believe that because
I have disabled the Pandora plugin (not available in UK), I had to create
server\Plugins\SqueezeScrobbler\HTML\Default\html\images\btn_thumbs_down.gif
and btn_thumbs_up.gif, otherwise the server becomes unresponsive whilst trying
to fetch artwork that it can't find.

2. If I click the "thumbs down" hate icon, the server seems to skip over
several songs. In Moose, I can see songs appear in the now playing window,
then instantly disappear, until it finally stabilises and plays another song.
The same thing happens if I click >>. I hear stuttering whilst it is trying to
locate the next song to play.

3. Clicking Stop (using Moose - there isn't a stop button in default skin)
appears to do a skip to next song.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Lastfm stations?

2008-06-05 Thread nicketynick

Hi,
I'm trying to play a user's station found on their profile page. As far
as I can tell, it should be usertags/[username]/[tagname]. I don't seem
to be able to make this work when entering it into the box in the SC
lastfm interface (which sometimes goes wonky and won't even let me see
the box - it just goes grey??). Anybody have any ideas? Should I be
able to make this station work?
Thanks,

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM Help

2009-01-30 Thread teejayl

Hey everyone, sorry if this has been discussed, but I searched and could
not find an answer.

I just recently discovered LastFM, and think it's great. I was even
happier to find out I could listen through my SB. I've got it running
fine, however, I can't seem to be able to play my Library. I can only
find options for my Recommended and Neighbours.

Any ideas on how to only play what is in my Library?

My second question is, if I'm listening to my Recommended, will it
always automatically add it to my Library? I'd prefer to be able to add
it myself only if I hear something I really like.

Thanks!

Since I use my Squezeebox more than my computer mp3 players, is their a

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM not functioning?

2006-02-14 Thread jmpage2

I've just recently installed the Audioscrobbler and LastFM plugins and
seem to have hit a wall.

I have used the Audioscrobbler "submit" function and have Slim Server
all set up with my LastFM login and password information.

When I press "play" on the LastFM station under internet radio it has a
message indicating "waiting to receive track information" and then just
never proceeds to begin playing music.

Is there any additional troubleshooting or debugging I can perform?

I'm running the general release 6.2.1 of Slim Server on a Linux box.

Thanks.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM firefox "helper"

2006-02-22 Thread Robin Bowes
Hi,

Here's a cool idea - wouldn't it be good if clicking on a lastfm:// link
played that station on your squeezebox?

The LastFM setup instructions tell you to configure Firefox to launch
the LastFM player as follows:

Type in "about:config" in the location bar right click, select New -->
String

name of string should be: "network.protocol-handler.app.lastfm"

value should be the path to your player.exe, eg "~/Last.fm/player", on a
PC "C:\Program Files\Last.fm Player\player.exe"

I reckon it wouldn't be all that hard to knock together a small perl
script that uses the Slim CLI to play the stream on the Squeezebox.

Any thoughts?

suggestion from James that this might be possible, but I couldn't find
any actual examples.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM - Track details ??

Curious if anyone else is experiencing difficulty w/ receiving track

This is recent behavior so maybe a problem at the LastFM end? Recent
tracks do appear on Last.fm webpage.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM algorithm explanation

2006-11-27 Thread mortod

I'm a happy user of SB and LastFM with SlimScrobbler. But I still don't
understand exactly how lastFM interprets the love/skip/ban updates so
as to determine your music taste - and the last.fm site doesn't seem to
explain either.

Questions that arise include:

1. If you skip a track does that imply you don't like that
artist/track? Or do you have to send a 'ban'?

2. If you listen to a track without sending a skip/ban will lastfm
interpret that as liking that track and therefore tend to choose
similar in the future ?

3. If you hate a particular track will that tend to imply that you hate
that artist also - ie is it better to not send a hate if actually you
like that artist on the whole?

4. If you love a track and send a love update, immediately followed by
a skip (because you don't want to listen to that track just now), does
that have a negative interpretation?

3. Is 'neigbour' radio the way to listen to music that you will tend to
like, or 'recommendation'? From the explanation of each, I would expect
'recommendations' to be the way to go, but tend to get obscure tracks
that way, and 'neighbour' seems to give more mainstream selections.

I would like to know exactly what impact each of love/skip/ban has on
lastfm's interpretation of my tastes so that I can stear it in the
right direction. It does seem to take a lot of listening before it
starts to choose tracks I like, and want to be sure that my listening
and update habits help it get there as quick as possible.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM DirectStream failure

2007-01-12 Thread Phil Meyer
I was happily listening to LastFM this morning on a SB3 (wireless). Then the
stream stopped and the SB screen went blank. I though slimserver had crashed.
However, I pressed power off/on and the box came back to life. I started
LastFM streaming again and it was fine.

I notice the following in the log:

2007-01-12 06:12:25.0947 Backtrace:

   frame 0: Slim::Player::Source::errorOpening
(P:\Music\SlimServer\trunk\server/Slim/Player/Squeezebox2.pm line 579)

   frame 7: main::main (P:\Music\SlimServer\trunk\server\slimserver.pl line

I guess that the stream broke somewhere along the line, which can be expected
from time to time. My concern is with the error handling, in that the screen
went blank, rather than report a problem and stop gracefully. I haven't seen
this behaviour before - normally it reports an error on the screen and
indicates the stream has stopped. Is something broken?

2009-07-22 Thread pike

ok .. i changed a lot of things and got something back. however, its not
in internet radio / last.fm anymore, its in music services / last.fm.
its also a bit different: i *can* play tag radio from the device, i
*cant* love or ban tracks now.

i'm probably all confused as to what the difference is between the
squeezescrobbler/slimscrobbler/last.fm plugins (and which provides
what). but i cant imagine i'm the only one. i wish there was a webpage
somewhere that explained it for us dummies.

fyi, here's what i changed. first of all, i changed both
squeezecenter.com and last.fm to say i'm in germany, which, ofcourse, i
am, arent we all. then rebooted squeezeserver.

but i also played with the various plugin settings. i may have
activated one and deactivated another. but i cant tell you which or
where :-)

problem could be.

Best bet is a custom map for the remote. Have a look 'here'

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM Rating

2007-05-14 Thread fka278

Thank you. Looks like it didn't work. Maybe a problem with the file
format?

I used word and created a map file with:

# LastFM skp/love/ban
arrow_right.hold = lastfm_skip
arrow_up.hold = lastfm_love
arrow_down.hold = lastfm_ban

which I put into the IR directory. It is called custom.

Anything I missed?

Next I copied:

arrow_down.hold = lastfm_ban

under (common) into the default.map file.

But still doesn't work.

Have you enabled the custom mapping in player settings?

I think the commands are wrong, they're more complicated than that.
(should be somewhere in the forum, I can't remember if I put them on the
help page as well)

I enabled custom mapping. I copied :
modefunction_PLUGIN.LastFM::Plugin->lastfm_love
modefunction_PLUGIN.LastFM::Plugin->lastfm_ban
modefunction_PLUGIN.LastFM::Plugin->lastfm_skip

into the the custom.map file, I created from the defaut.map.
Everything else in the default file I deleted.

It's still not working. Any idea what is missing?

Thank you.

have you gone into player settings->remote and selected the custom map?

If so, you can try the server settings->debugging, enable d_ir and
check the lock to verify that the server is using your custom
functions when you press the buttons.

I am also assuming that when you copied the block to custom.map, that
you have each function mapped to the buttons you initially posted.

It should be like this:

You might want to try a subset of the commands e.g.

arrow_up.hold

This is all covered in the SlimServer documentation though - have you
read it?

I changed the commands according your recommendation:

##
# Button names to function mappings
##
# The format here is buttonname = function, grouped by [modename]

[common]

# Button functions that are common to all modes (unless overridden)

# LastFM skp/love/ban
arrow_up.hold = modefunction_PLUGIN.LastFM::Plugin->lastfm_love
arrow_right.hold = modefunction_PLUGIN.LastFM::Plugin->lastfm_ban
arrow_down.hold = modefunction_PLUGIN.LastFM::Plugin->lastfm_skip

I can use the remotecontrol only for LastFM. I can't scroll to anything
else. It looks like the buttoms are still not defined yet.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM Rating

2007-05-16 Thread Craig, James (IT)
The docs are accessible from the SlimServer web interface.
On the main page, left hand side there's a link something like
'Technical information' ?

The output you posted seems strange:

2007-05-16 06:40:15.2980 IR: found function
modefunction_PLUGIN.LastFM::Plugin->lastfm_skip for button arrow_down in
mode common from map custom.map

This implies you've left the arrow_down etc mappings in, although added
the .hold mappings?

TBH I always give up on the custom remote map, it's very difficult to
get it to do exactly what one wants.

The lazy person's solution is to change the default screensaver to 'Now
Playing (jump back on wake)' which returns you to where you were before
the screensaver started - usually the LastFM menu!

Not sure if I followed your creation of the custom.map correctly but
you need to add the above section to the common area of the default.map
and then save it as custom.map. Don't delete the other settings that
carry over from the default.map file. Go to the Remote settings for the
player in question and change button functions to custom.

This works for me in 6.5.2

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM Newbie Q

2007-06-01 Thread staresy

Hi,
I am running lastFM on a QNAP SS. All set up OK and appears to
autoscrobble. My question is how do I set up the SS to be able to play
MY station (ie. based upon my autoscrobbling)?

Can't get this to work, is it because:

- I haven't subscribed
- I haven't got enough track info scrobbled yet?

Yes, if you want to listen to a 'similar artists' station, there's no
way to enter them directly from the squeezebox itself. You can however
play them from the SlimServer web interface, and/or save a favourite
station there that is then accessibly from a squeezebox.

-Stef-;210659 Wrote:

I've never really noticed this myself, but I would expect it's quite
dependent on what sort of setup and music you normally listen to.

-Stef-;210659 Wrote:

It's not really a bug, it's expected behaviour. LastFM will only stream
their radio to one place at a time. If you start listening on a
Squeezebox the strean to the LastFM player gets cut off and vice
versa.

My setup is as follows: SB3 is connected to my Yamaha receiver through
a glass fibre toslink cable. The volume is low at any type of music.
Other radio stations and my mp3 library through SS and SN are at a
normal level but only LastFM is very low. I don't understand why that
is.

BTW, it's low as well when my SB is connected via analogue cables.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM version 1.1.5?

2008-02-09 Thread Phil Meyer
A while ago I raised bug 6479 "Can't play LastFM songs that don't exist in my
library", which has been closed because it was identified that the
parseDirectHeaders
method should return '128000' for the bitrate field.

The SqueezeScrobbler plugin was returning 128_000, so I edited my copy of the
plugin to remove the underscore, and this seemed to get LastFM streaming
working again for me.

I had a look for the latest LastFM plugin on sourceforge
(http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=105780), to see if any
change had been incorporated to fix this officially. The latest version for
SC7 is listed as SqueezeScrobbler_v1.1.5.zip. However, when I open the
ReadMe.html in that zip, it is reporting version 1.1.3.

That version of the plugin still returns bitrate 128_000, and thus doesn't
work. Has a fix been made?

James made a comment on my bug report saying that internal plugins return a
bitrate of 128_000, so his plugin was just doing the same thing. Does this
mean that some internal plugins are also wrong?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM/SqueezeScrobbler Empty

2008-02-10 Thread dsandelman

Running SlimServer 7.0 02/08/08 Build. On the SB-3, when I go to Extras
(right) LastFM/SqueezeScrobble (right) the screen is blank. Is this
correct?

What I am looking to do is Scrobble songs that I am listening to on
Radioio. I have not found any way to do this while the song is playing.
Is the above discribed issue related to this? And what is the purpose of
the 'LastFM/SqueezeScrobble' in the extra menu.

Thanks

SqueezeCenter (SC) replaces SlimServer. It is currently in beta, but is
required for the new Duet which will be released soon, so it is safe to
say that SC won't be beta much longer. It's in very good shape now and
you can download it from
http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/latest/7.0/ or you can
wait until it's officially released (won't be long now). You will need
to get the SC version of the LastFM plugin too.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM troubles

2008-02-20 Thread James

Sorry Philip, I can't recreate any of these issues.
love/ban and skip all work fine for me using the web interface and
softsqueeze remote emulator.
When skipping/loving/banning, I did notice that while playback stops
immediately the command is received, it is then followed by a short
burst of the current track before starting the new track. I don't think
this has anything to do with the plugin though.

Stop (by holding down pause on the remote) works as expected and stops
playback.

The bitrate is fixed already in the current version, and I will add
copies of the love/ban buttons in the next release.

2008-02-20 Thread Phil Meyer
>love/ban and skip all work fine for me using the web interface and

I think Love is working, since I added the icons, as I can see a
PostXMLToLastFM log message. I'm not sure where to look in last.fm web site to
prove that it got the message though.

I'm finding there's no feedback though when Love/Ban are pressed in WebUI or
using the SqeezeBox remote. Should anything visible happen? eg. in WebUI,
should pressing Love icon change the icon image? Should selecting Love via SB
remote control show a brief message before returning to Now Playing, etc?

If I leave the webUI open, the first LastFM song to play shows the correct song
metadata in both the Now Playing area and the single entry in the current
playlist area. However, when a song transition occurs, the Now Playing seems
to update, but the current playlist still shows the old metadata (the artwork
is correct, but the artist, album and song names are out of date).

I think maybe there is a problem with SqueezeSlave, so I'll stick to
SoftSqueeze for now.

The first time I tried with SoftSqueeze tonight, I had an interesting situation
where the first track metadata was displayed, but the track didn't play. So I
tried to start the LastFM station again, and it started to play the track.
After about 15 seconds, it started to play a new track simultaneously with the
first track! I tried to stop and start, but this effect kept happening.
Eventually I cleared the current playlist and tried to start a LastFM station
and since then it's been faultless.

In WebUI, the next track ">>" button works correctly when streaming with
SoftSqueeze. Stop also works.

>When skipping/loving/banning, I did notice that while playback stops

I think that's what I was experiencing, but for some reason it was skipping
several tracks (as if >> had been pressed 5 times very quickly).

Thanks for the reply - I'm enjoying LastFM again now.

This is edited down from the file:

If you made changes to you slimscrobbler.prefs file you may have to

Works for me anyway.

Thanks MC - that was helpful. I now have the station in my list, in the

I still have the problem in SC on the Lastfm page where the gray

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM problem in 6.5b1?

2006-04-09 Thread Phil Meyer
This morning I tried to use LastFM for the first time since updrading to 6.5b1.

I have installed what I believe is the latest version (v1.8.2 - 17 March) from
the combined SlimScrobbler & LastFM zip from James' website. However, when I
look inside LastFM/plugin.pl it reports version 1.3.4. There is a note on the
website saying that the latest nightly can be obtained from sorceforge by
downloading the zip file, but when I go to slimscrobbler on sorceforge, I don't
see any mention of LastFM and the date of the download is october 2005.

From the SqueezeBox, I navigated to LastFM and pressed play to connect. After
a while, SlimServer died with the following:

Can't call method "macaddress" on an undefined value at
P:/Music/SlimServer/trunk/server/Plugins/LastFM/Plugin.pm line 1018.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM stutter - 0% buffer

2006-06-03 Thread smc2911

Over the last couple of days, my LastFM playback performance has been
pretty lousy. I'm not sure what I've changed: I've had the same version
of the server for a while (6.5b deb, pre-scanner split) and the latest
plugin. I get a lost of stuttering, and when I have the screen-saver
display the buffer, it's always on 0% (as opposed to the 100% when I
play back my own music). While a ping of streamer2.last.fm looks a
little slow (aroung 500ms), I get no stuttering when I play back on my
pc using the last.fm player. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

RE: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM remote control

2006-07-17 Thread Craig, James (IT)
Yes, it is possible, I'm sure there are examples on the old threads.
I never added details to the plugin instructions because I could never
get it to behave perfectly, there was always a double transmission of
one of the buttons. I got stuck working out where this was coming from
as I don't use a default IR map...

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM - SSqueeze3 Transporter Skin

2006-10-02 Thread atlslim

James,

Using the softsqueeze transporter skin and latest 6.5 I have noticed a
keymap(?) issue when I issue LastFM commands via the skin interface.
Based on the debug output: skip=rtp; love=skip; ban=love; rtp=ban.

Not sure if this is a plugin or Softsqueeze issue but was wondering if
anyone else has seen this? Web interface is not affected.

Thanks

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM algorithm explanation

2006-11-28 Thread James Craig

mortod wrote:

I'm a happy user of SB and LastFM with SlimScrobbler. But I still don't
understand exactly how lastFM interprets the love/skip/ban updates so
as to determine your music taste - and the last.fm site doesn't seem to
explain either.

Questions that arise include:

1. If you skip a track does that imply you don't like that
artist/track? Or do you have to send a 'ban'?

no and yes.

2. If you listen to a track without sending a skip/ban will lastfm
interpret that as liking that track and therefore tend to choose
similar in the future ?

yes (in fact only 50% or 2 minutes of the track needs to be listened to
- skip after this and it still gets counted)

3. If you hate a particular track will that tend to imply that you hate
that artist also - ie is it better to not send a hate if actually you
like that artist on the whole?

IIRC this is track specific.

4. If you love a track and send a love update, immediately followed by
a skip (because you don't want to listen to that track just now), does
that have a negative interpretation?

there is no 'negative' connotation to the skip command, just that the
play of the track may not be recorded. 'loved' tracks are tracked
separately, so I believe you could possibly have a loved but unplayed track.

3. Is 'neigbour' radio the way to listen to music that you will tend to
like, or 'recommendation'? From the explanation of each, I would expect
'recommendations' to be the way to go, but tend to get obscure tracks
that way, and 'neighbour' seems to give more mainstream selections.

neighbour radio just plays music that your neighbours like.
recommended radio is specifically chosen based on your history.

I would like to know exactly what impact each of love/skip/ban has on
lastfm's interpretation of my tastes so that I can stear it in the
right direction. It does seem to take a lot of listening before it
starts to choose tracks I like, and want to be sure that my listening
and update habits help it get there as quick as possible.

the best way to 'educate' LastFM is to scrobble everything you listen
to, not just LastFM radio.

I have. I've just sent the results to the plugin maintainer, so
hopefully this will be included soon.

Meanwhile, I can supply the details if anyone is interested.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFm and SlimScrobbler installation

2007-04-22 Thread solent

Hi,
I've just upgraded to V6.5.1 so I can install the above. I've unzipped
the zip files and copied the folders across to the plugins folder,
restarted SlimServer and can't see either of them listed under
plugins.

I've tried rebooting, reinstalling SlimServer (should I unsintall it
first?) and restarting it but nothing seems to work.

Any assistance in debugging this would be greatly appreciated.

James,

Thanks for the reply.

No, I can't play lastfm with their player on my work machine (a laptop)
unless I have it within my own LAN. I'm pretty sure a couple of ports
are blocked (although not sure which ones) which stuffs the player on
my works lan. I have set the player settings of softsqueeze to use the
proxied streaming as opposed to direct so that the work would be
carried out on my slimserver at home and then streamed over ssh to my
work.

I also tried shadow playing an SB2 which successfully plays last fm and
then synching it with my work machine but unfortunately that didn't work
either (

Thanks for your help.

It looks like, as you've said, that the player is still trying to
direct stream to softsqueeze (and quite excited by the lets do it
comment).. I take it that means that the proxied streaming setting on
the player settings is not doing the job at the moment - is that what
you think???

I'm really grateful for all your help on this.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM Changing Account Problems

2007-05-31 Thread staresy

I have:
SS 6.5.1
LastFM v2.1.0
Audioscrobbler v0.37

Had everything running OK and then decided to change my LastFM account.
I deleted the old account and set up a new one (at lastFM.com). I then
repointed my SS to look at the new account (from server, plugins,
setup).

However, my SS always ssems to "remember" the original account username
which is no longer in existence as I've deleted it :-(

I have even re-installed the LastFM and AS plugins but to no avail.

Anyone seen this before, how can I reset it to look at my new account?

Maybe you can listen to other people's stations before your own is

I think it may have something to do with when they update charts, which

The plugin returns the bitrate as '128_000', the stream fails. When I change
this to return '128000', the stream is fine.

Is it because it's returning a string, rather than number, and a string to
