Question: Would you love to see playlist folders supported, even if it
was a poor workaround?

- I run LMS/Spotty on the same computer as a Spotify desktop app.
- I don't run LMS/Spotty and Spotify on the same computer, but would
be willing to run some script.
- I wouldn't want to deal with this mess, even if I'd love to use
  folders.
- What's a playlist folder?

Indeed it was. Sorry about that, but thanks for addressing my question.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty and playlist folders

2019-01-07 Thread Michael Herger

Was this in reply to my comment about deleting items in my Spotify
library?

No, it was in response to the thread subject...

I reviewed that thread and see mention of deleting search history and
managing playlists, but there is nothing about deleting items from the
library.

Maybe I didn't see your question because it's totally off-topic and in
the wrong place?

I see a separation in the Spottily UI; a section for My Library
(recently played, songs, albums, etc.) and Playlists. It is items in the
library that I am interested in deleting via Spotty. is that feature
there, and I am just missing it? BTW, I am running Spotty 2.7.0.

It's not there yet. But it's on my todo list.

I have Spotify installed on the same machine where I run LMS/Spotty.

OS: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17763.195]
Sootify offline storage: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Spotify\Storage

As a side note...
I rarely run Spotify on this PC. The only reason I've found to do that
is to remove items from my library. I use Spotty for all other purposes.
So it would be a nice feature if in Spotty I could remove items from
the library as well as add them.

Are you saying that's where Spotify lives, but LMS is on a different
machine?

If you run LMS on the same machine, would the latest Spotty v2.7.0 find
your folders?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty and playlist folders

2019-01-03 Thread mherger

Unfortunately Spotify seems to have decided NOT to support playlist
folders through the API (see
https://github.com/spotify/web-api/issues/38#issuecomment-396925978).
But there's a potential workaround - undocumented and ugly. But it might
work (using this method:
https://github.com/spotify/web-api/issues/38#issuecomment-431600563).
Unfortunately that latter workaround would only work if Spotify was
running on the same machine as LMS/Spotty. Or maybe with some more
workarounds the information could be transferred from another computer
to be used in Spotty... Therefore I'm asking you:

I run LMS/Spotty on the same computer as a Spotify desktop app.
I don't run LMS/Spotty and Spotify on the same computer, but would be
willing to run some script every now and then to transfer folder
information.
I wouldn't want to deal with this mess, even if I'd love to use
folders.
What's a playlist folder?
