[SlimDevices: Plugins] Super Date Time fix for Logitech Media Server

2011-11-28 Thread Bull_in_a_china_shop

I see some chat in the SDT thread. I am running on windows. does
anyone have a link to the SDT fix I need?

I must admit I like the weather as much as anything on my Squeezebox!

Thanks for the info, erland. I read that over several times prior. I
have no clue what that it is telling me to do. I apologize if its
clear and I'm just not getting it. Can you add a bit of detail to
those steps or process?

1. Goto LMS Settings page and select the "Plugins" tab
2. At the bottom of that page specify my testing repository:

Code:

  http://erlandplugins.googlecode.com/svn/repository/trunk/testing.xml

3. Click Apply or Save Settings
4. Check Super Date Time plugin in the list and click Apply Save
Settings to install it.

It should show up as 5.9.9pre1, version 5.9.8 is the one that doesn't
work.
Do you have other repositories in the list that might contain an older
version ?
If so, please remove these and try again.

It might also be that LMS has cached the previous repositories, in this
case you can try to restart LMS and see if it works better after that.

You might need to have the "Show all 3rd party plugins" checkbox marked
also, not completely sure about that.

I tried several things you mentioned and it dosen't show up. I only
have your repository added at the bottom.

I am running xp x64 does that change anything with the pathing?

Bull, under your list of plugins, do you have a section titled "Erland's
plugins and applets (BETA testing versions)"? You likely would have to
scroll down towards the bottom, after all the active and inactive
plugins.

Erland, thanks for taking ownership of this plugin. After your suite of
Trackstat, et al, this is my favorite one.

I haven't really taken ownership of it, SDT is still maintain by
GoCubs, I just provided a patched version until he is able provide an
official release. As I've understood an official release should happen
in the near future, so after that it's not needed to setup my testing
repository to use SDT.

Sorry everyone for being off the grid. Work and travel have been
especially challenging the past 6months.

I'm in the process of moving everything to a GoogleCode project. I'm
setting things up so that certain users can contribute code/fixes and
automatically post a new build. I'm nearly done with the project
creation and automation. I just need to do some minor tweaks and post
the automation portion to my server back home. I'd normally do it
remotely but my remote access is blocked at the moment.

The initial version will include version support for 7.7 and the
wunderground fix that was posted to the forums. Any other fixes
desired please let me know!

Thanks
Greg

System Prefs is bugging me to update Logitech Media Server again. Last
update (7.7) messed up SDT (fixed thanks to Erland). Would rather skip
it if it's going to happen again. Does anyone know if it will?

Thanks -

I'm using the SDT version in my testing repository with 7.7.1 and it
seems to work as far as I can see.
