[SlimDevices: Plugins] TrackStat question
Been using trackStat. But when I go to 'Choose Statistics to view - Songs' and I pick any stat from the list say 'Last Played songs'; I get a list of songs but the artist name is always missing for all? For example; The list will show song as 'Rolling in the Deep by from 21' or 'China Girl by from Changes One'? Any ideas? Hi Is trackstat using different statistics for each player using the same squeezecenter. I mean. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Trackstat question
I like to browse using Trackstat via the player to select 'Least played albums' and select from the 50 random albums shown. Is there any way to also display the artist for each album via this selection? During the SC7 startup the server is generating the invalid value error shown below in the server log. I can't find where this value is set in the Trackstat configuration pages. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Trackstat Question
this has been bugging me for awhile. When i use the remote to dial in an artist, I can hold down the play button and i then have the option of going into custom browse or trackstat. If i go into trackstat I have all of the trackstat options but these options aren't connected back to the artist that I originally selected. The question then is: how do I select an artist on my remote and then select a trackstat playback option for just that artist (or genre, etc., etc.)? For example, I search out wilco in my library and then I'd like trackstat to make a playlist that only plays top rated wilco songs. I've never been fond of the way it counts unrated tracks as 3*. It means that the majority of my albums are rated 3*. I generally use the 1-5 scale as a goodness rating (so a 1* means not bad rather than terrible). If I don't like songs, I don't rip them. So a 3* doesn't mean average in my rating system; a 1* would be a better value to assume (though I still prefer that they are not included in the stats). At the moment, I can't rate any song as 3* or lower, or the stats won't work well. I'll add to the wishlist to have this as an option, but I would prefer some other way to solve the problem because I have a feeling the current solution works best for most people. If I were to rate one song on an album as 5* and then I find that the album had been rated as 5* but the other 20 tracks were not bad, I could then go and rate the rest of the songs on the album accordingly, such that the album rating is corrected. It would be nice to be able to configure a rating (or not to use a rating) to use for unrated songs when viewing album/artist stats. If there were some way to detect the bonus tracks I could just ignore these, but I don't think there is. Only if the user were to adopt some standard. I have tried a few things in the past for bonus tracks, etc. I used to use the word [Bonus] on the end of the song title, but then switched to putting this in a comment tag. The plugin is great! But there's one thing that bothers me, which has to do with reissued CDs these days. All of the bonus tracks on a CD can really lower the overall rating of an album since generally they're alternate takes or something like that. I would say 80% of the time they're fluff which I don't rate very high, so the overall rating of an otherwise great album gets affected. Is there a way to overcome this? I tried using the unrate option, but this just resets it back to 6 (in my case scaling 1-10). If there nothing that currently can do this, generally I would like to request a feature which rates an album by the rated tracks, and not the unrated tracks. I realize that if you only rate one song on a album, that would be the whole album's rating. But there may be other ideas which would be better.In the beginning TrackStat didn't count unrated tracks in the album ratings, the result where that when viewing top rated albums the top albums were always albums with a single good track where I hadn't rated the rest of the album. I guess it also really depends how you set the ratings. If you play random songs in your library and set the rating for each played songs the result will be that you will have a lot of albums with just a few rated songs. If you play your collection one album at the time and set the rating it will probably work quite good to not count unrated tracks.
