Did you found any solutions here?

Actually I have the same issue and I can’t figure out the problem.
I can also go to suspend, but after few minutes my vortexbox starts
again. 
Besides the vortexbox, I have only 2 players attached on my network.

Hi Ron,

I have a similar setup but am using an older power supply (Antec 350W)
and the machine draws about 50W, so in principle I could let it run but
it is a bit much and there are some days where I don't listen to any
music. Feels like a waste to run even 50W for nothing 24/7. That alone
would increase my power bill by about 10 -15% as we don't use much
overall. Annoyingly the suspend function seems to work when I watch a
movie stored on the Vortexbox as the squeezeserver is idling when I
doing that it suddenly suspends the box after the set time. So I think
there is something waking it up and wish I could work out what it is...

How much power does your PC use when it is running?  If the PC is
sufficiently "green", I suggest leaving it running 24x7 and don't mess
with suspend/resume.  Simpler is better.

I have a VortexBox Appliance with a dual-core 1.6 GHz Atom processor
and a 2 TB Western Digital hard drive, and I leave it on 24x7.  At full
power, it uses 25 Watts.  At idle, it uses a lot less.

Hi all,
I have recently (well about 2 months ago) built a little pc with an
Atom 525 and installed Vortexbox to service my touch and boom. All
works great but the one feature I can't get my head around is the
suspend/wake function. I set it up so that during the day after 2 hours
of no use the box goes to suspend, and between 23:00 and 7 AM after 10
minutes.
Every time I check the box is running!

So I go in either the individual squeeze player, settings/extras/server
power and hit suspend. That works, until it wakes up again some minutes
later. No matter if I do this from the web interface of the
squeezeserver or from the player, it always (or nearly always) wakes up
again without anyone using it. I have to admit that the instructions
under : 
SrvrPowerCtrl plugin RedHat are way above my head. I don't speak linux
and I don't even know if I HAVE to do this using Vortexbox as I thought
it comes all ready to go.

Any help much appreciated!
