Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] trouble getting spotty 2.4.4 started
Hello Michael, thank you for you response and help. Indeed, it was a permissions problem. The plugin apparently was installing with the root.root (UID.GID), but this seems strange since I ran as regular user to install the plugin. The error message in /var/log/squeezeserver was "cannot remove directory for /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/spotty/files: Permission denied at /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Plugin.pm line 444". I corrected the problem by issuing chown -R squeezeboxserver.nogroup /var/log/squeezeserver. Seems to work, but maybe something to understand why this was necessary? freelsjd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4344 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109463 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] trouble getting spotty 2.4.4 started
I am going to try Spotify again. I used to run Spotty fine on earlier trials. I installed the latest v2.4.4 plugin and restarted LMS. I can see spotty on my plugin list. If I click the spotty app, it tells me to go to settings, advanced, spotty which I do. However, the LMS server just waits with a message it is waiting at the bottom of the screen. If I click the settings button on the plugin list for spotty, it also waits there too. So basically, I cannot enter my credentials for spotify to get started. All other functionality seems to work fine. I am running 7.9.1 of LMS on my debian/stretch system. All else is fine. freelsjd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4344 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109463 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
