I have given up on Inguz on SC 7.4 and 7.3.3. On the latter Inguz shows, but there is no option to choose it in the "Files" menu.so I will go back to 7.3.1 or whatever works. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzDSP for 7.3.x
I've finally got around to buying a Radio Shack SPL meter and spent the weekend doing some basic EQing on SC7.3.2 (running on Linux Clark Connect). The Inguz plug-in v0.9.30 works great however I am getting an intermittent static pop while music (FLAC) is playing. The "pop" occurs every few minutes. Any ideas how to resolve this? Well, my collection is mp3 only, and so Inguz seems to convert them on-the-fly, using the aforementioned executeables. A fresh install of SC 7.3.2 did not work, but downgrade to SC7.3.1 did. I could see that the handling of "child" processes is done differently between the two versions: in 7.3.1, stopping SC will also kill the inguz process and the other exe's. In 7.3.2 these processes are left behind running after shutdown. Let's see what 7.3.3 or 7.4 bring. -- sellars sellars's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=525 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57720 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzDSP for 7.3.x
Hello, I am running Inguz EQ (v0.9.30), Squeezecenter Version: 7.3.2 - 24695 on Windows XP - EN - cp1252 with 2 receivers and one SB3. Once I install the plugin, I see a copy of lame.exe socketwrapper.exe InguzDSP.exe flac.exe spawn in task manager whenever I play a track. So if I play a playlist of 10 tracks, there will be 10 copies of each process showing up in task manager. At first I though it was due to me running Squeezecenter from the command line, but the processes even continued to spawn after I disabled the plugin via Squeezecenter and also after disabling all non-standard, third party ones. I had to remove all installed files from the EQ and DSP before my system returned to normal again. I am running Squeezecenter from Squeezetray now - same issue. Also, the spawned processes do not die after shutting down Squeezcenter - I had to kill the processes manually. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzDSP for 7.3.x
I did not uninstall SC or delete any directories. Just a normal upgrade on top of the old SC install. After the upgrade Inguz was not working, so I deleted the InguzEQ folder in the plugins directory and did a new Inguz install. The hi-rez problem is understandable, because of the new SoX downsampling thing, but I don't understand why mp3 is'nt working anymore. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzDSP for 7.3.x
I am having some trouble getting Inguz 0.9.30 to work properly after uprading from SC 7.2.1 to SC 7.3.2 on an XP home SP3 machine. Correction works fine playing 44.1 and 48 kHz flac files. Test signals (sweeps etc.) also work fine. However a couple of things are not working: 1. No correction of 88.2 and 96 kHz on SB3. It seems the new feature of serverside SoX downsampling is having first priority, and is somehow preventing Inguz to work. (Note, this problem only applies to SB3, on the Transporter it works fine as one would expect since no SoX downsampling is done). 2. No correction of mp3 files, the inguz and lame processes start, but nothing is played and the SB3/Transporter is just waiting. Both of these were working fine with 0.9.30 and 7.2.1. Anyone else upgraded to 7.3.2 and have this working? -- Veggen Veggen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57720 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzDSP for 7.3.x
Well after trying Inguz out, it appears I now have the UI functioning, after the issues I posted above. But now the DSP isn't engaged. I seem to have it installed properly, but obviously I'm still missing something. I have two issues that I need to figure out: 1. There is no EQ effect on the SB output. None of Inguz's functions can be heard in the output. 2. None of the test patterns work for me. When I try to use any of them, instead of the test pattern, the last song in the SB's current playlist is played instead. While I'm a long time SC/SB/plugin user, I obviously don't know what I'm doing yet with this plugin. I'll keep plugging away (pun only slightly intended) but any advice from the seasoned veterans of this plugin would be very much appreciated. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzDSP for 7.3.x
OK, I found the problem. I was following the directions and putting the Inguz plugin in the C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\Plugins location. I noticed there weren't any of my other current plugins in that folder, in fact nothing was in that folder. Since I'm running Vista, the now active plugins folder isn't in the SqueezeCenter program folder. It's now in the C:\ProgramData\SqueezeCenter\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins location which once installed there Inguz showed up as expected. I haven't tried it out yet, but at least it now shows up. You might want to update the installation docs to reflect this Vista behavior. Geno, after installing the files did you go to your SB to Extras->EQ and try to initiate the EQ? You have to do that, then completely shut down and restart SC. I've been wanting to give Inguz a try for awhile, but I was running 7.3 (on Vista sp1). I tried installing tonight, and it shows up in the Plugins screen in SqueezeCenter when installed, but is not showing up in the players menus screen in SqueezeCenter or the extras screen on any of my Squeezeboxes. I also noticed there is a settings link in the plugin screen in SqueezeCenter, but comes up with a 404 error when chosen. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I can't identify what that might be.
