As far as I know this bug still exists (it seems to for me on 7.5 anyway). As Ben is currently trying to make the alarm reliable it might be a good time for this to be sorted out. I was wondering if you knew the number of the bug so I can comment and perhaps remind Ben/Logitech of it (or maybe you know a better person/way to get it sorted?). Do you need to use the iPlayer URL at all? AFAIK, the BBC WMA streams for R1-4 are now directly available outside the UK. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64577highlight=bbc+url+uk So http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r3.asx; should work for you (depending on your precise squeezecenter setup perhaps) and if saved as a favourite, you can then use it as an alarm. -- Siduhe Who am I on 'LAST.FM' (http://www.last.fm/user/siduhe)? -Siduhe Loved Tracks radio got the thumbs up. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer / Playlists / Alarms
Ah-ha! Somehow I'd missed that.. And it worked fine: many thanks. Even the relatively poor WMA quality is no issue for me, at least so far as the Alarm function goes, as I pipe that through the whole-house intercom system (OK, but not exactly hi-fi). Once I've grasped the morning mug of coffee, I can easy switch to the iPlayer feed, or whatever Two (dumb) questions: a) where within SC do I find the rest of those BBC URLs, so I can play and save them? b) R3 is my go-to - but occasionally I like R7 as a wake-up. Is R7 available on a WMA feed, or just R1-4? -- agbagb AGB SqueezeCenter Version: 7.3.3 - 27044 (was: 7.3.2 - 24695) under Vista. 2 x SB3s, wireless, usually in sync. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer / Playlists / Alarms
The Radiofeeds UK APP has up to date URLs for WMA including many local Radio ones. The Logitech ones in the BBC App are a bit out of date but should still work OK for non UK listeners. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70463 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

agbagb;478210 Wrote: But I've now gradually shifted from Alien to iPlayer (as the RealAudio feed that Alien so usefully adapted for us is being phased out by the Beeb...). And - as we are finding out - SC can't use an iPlayer saved Playlist as an Alarm Sound source. You can use an iplayer stream for the alarm, but there is a limitation on how you need to set it (due to a limitation in the server). The work around is: 1) Make sure you are using 7.4.x or later 2) Play the live stream you want to be used as an alarm 3) Set the alarm using current playlist as the stream to play. This will save the currently playing stream as the alarm url and will play it. Due to the way iplayer works with the server this should work, but saving the stream as a favorite will not. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70463 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
