Great you succeed George,

I am still struggling (more for curiosity :-) with trying to query my ovf
data source (MS Access) by attribute that is x/y coordinate. I have even
tried to turn on ODBC tracing/logging but the log file stays empty, I
don't know why...

For me this type of setting works. If STATUS DEFAULT is set and it's not

also works for me with STATUS OFF.

Re: [pmapper-users] data types for search.xml

2009-05-27 Thread Armin Burger
Dejan

I think querying an OGR layer based on Esri personal geodb uses
completely different mechanisms behind than querying layers based on
x/y values stored in an ODBC enabled DB. All should work using the
syntax of layers based on shapes, but some parts seem not.

In my opinion the whole queryByAttribute and filter part (which for me
is a quite essential part) is of low importance to the Mapserver
developers, old bugs, an incomplete documentation and so on. Other
things like placing labels in sophisticated ways seem to have somewhat
higher importance.

I've gotten off to a good start with pmapper 4.0 running on a CentOS 5.3

I see in the TOC that my categories appear, with the groups/layers in
the list as I set up in the config-default.xml file. However I notice
that the names that appear under each category are NOT the group names,
but rather the name of the first layer in that group.

For example, I have in my mapserver map file some stream layers:
'n_streams' and 's_streams' both with the

 GROUP 'streams'

directive in the mapfile. I added that group to the xml file, and it
indeed appears, but named 'n_streams' rather than 'streams'.

Any way to fix this? Have I missed something in my configuration?

 Thanks,

Micha

I updated the initgroups.php file to take the group name and not the
name of the 1st layer. You can get it from svn/trac via

http://svn.pmapper.net/trac/browser/pmapper/trunk/pmapper/incphp/initgroups.php?format=txt

Nevertheless, I would recommend to use the

DESCRIPTION My Layer/Group Name in TOC

entry under LAYER - METADATA in the map file. Layer and group names in
p.mapper cannot have blanks, so if you need that you have to define the
description tag anyway.

Ciao Marco

Are you sure that you're using exactly the same configurations (map
file, config files, etc) for both versions? Difficult to imagine what
should cause this problem. White map images without errors typically
mean that the layers are not drawn (so not set to on) or that the map
extent is completely wrong. I would check the session variables for
groups and the geoext (under 'utils' there is a readsession.php file
that facilitates the readability).

[pmapper-users] minScale for button identify

2009-05-27 Thread Salvator*eL*arosa

HI at all,

Is there a way to activate a button in the toolbar to a scale 1:5000?

In practice, when the map has a scale of less than 1:5000
allow interrogation of the layer. At a scale greater than 1:5000
button appears grayed!

Thanks!
