[Pmapper-users] measuring while map is in DD units
Hi my map is using digital degrees, and the measure function doesnt seem to return any usefull numbers. I have played around with the calcFact var in measure.js and get reasonable looking results for var calcFact = .01; however i would like it to be accurate. (i am using p.mapper 1.1 ) thanks -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://faunalia.it/pipermail/pmapper-users/attachments/20060209/94a1ef02/attachment.htm

There were already some discussions about using geographic coordinates and area/distance measurements on this list and I don't want to repeat everything again. Just in short the possibilities: * use a coordinate system that allows area measurements (eg. UTM, Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area, etc) * convert the mouse coordinates with javascript into a system like above (you need to get the formulas, for Europe I could provide you with them) * use an estimation for distance/area on sphere/ellipsoid (dunno where to find formulas) * use AJAX (XMLHttp) functions to request the coordinates for mouse clicks from the server converted into an appropriate system (using proj4 functions, etc) I always go for solution 1. armin > > Hi > > my map is using digital degrees, and the measure function doesnt seem to > return any usefull numbers. > > I have played around with the calcFact var in measure.js and get > reasonable > looking results for var calcFact = .01; however i would like it to be > accurate. > > (i am using p.mapper 1.1 ) > > thanks > -- DSL-Aktion wegen großer Nachfrage bis 28.2.2006 verlängert: GMX DSL-Flatrate 1 Jahr kostenlos* http://www.gmx.net/de/go/dsl

[Pmapper-users] Problem with v 1.9.5
Il 15:10, mercoled? 08 febbraio 2006, Roberto Starnini ha scritto: > HI, > > I understood the bug: the file x_load.php must have extention .phtml > otherwise on linux does not work! I would'nt call it a bug, this is indeed a feature :) ... and it's fully customizable. You can configure apache to handle a particular file extension with a particular resource handle, for example: AddType application/x-httpd-php .php # Enable cgi AddType application/x-httpd-php-cgi .phtml Action application/x-httpd-php-cgi /cgi-bin/php This way you could use apache the faster dso mod_php for *.php scripts and standard CGI (or better FASTCGI) for all *.phtml scripts. You could even use two different PHP builds/versions for the two group of scripts. This is normally done beacause of thread safety issues concerning php_mapscript implementation. BTW this is only a production environment problem, for developement, the dso is ok. Hope it helps. -- Alessandro Pasotti ICQ# 245871392 Linux User #167502
[Pmapper-users] problem with explorer
Walter, there was a problem that in occasions of slower server connections could cause a delay of the new image to be loaded. It first swapped back to the old image, then loaded the new. But I never found that it did not load the new one at all. It was resolved (I hope) on later development versions. Please try once the latest for download at http://www.pmapper.net/dl/pmapper2-2006-01-11.zip and see if it still has that problem. The versions until 1.9.4 anyway had no working resizing functionality of the map. armin > > Hi Armin, > > usually i work with firefox, but sometimes i have to check pmapper on > explorer... > with versionn 1.9.4 i found a bug that i don't know if you fix it on 1.9.5 > version > > if i use 1.9.4 on explorer without resize the window i don't have nay type > of > problem, but after resizing sometime in generation of map for example on > use > on zoom instrument or slidebar the map isn't generate or pamper load a old > image > > i hope you understood my problem > > All the best > Walter > > -- > Walter Lorenzetti > email+jabber: walter at faunalia.it > www.faunalia.it > Piazza Garibaldi 5 > 56025 Pontedera (PI) > Italy > Tel: (+39)347-6597931 > > ___ > Pmapper-users mailing list > Pmapper-users at faunalia.it > http://faunalia.it/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pmapper-users > -- 10 GB Mailbox, 100 FreeSMS/Monat http://www.gmx.net/de/go/topmail +++ GMX - die erste Adresse für Mail, Message, More +++
