So far so good.

my adapter:

bthub0 at ubt0 00:02:72:01:e3:90

Yup, no good.

rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ obexftp -b VogonPA -X -vvv

my adapter and borrowed are the same:

Not sure if this will help, but with the Broadcom BT-253 in the
Eee 901, I can do this:

sudo btconfig ubt0 up
sudo btconfig ubt0 name "some name"
sudo bthcid
btconfig ubt0 inq
vi /etc/bluetooth/hosts
add address for remote device here e.g. nokia1
sudo btpin -r -a nokia1
this generates a temporary PIN to type into the phone to pair
with the computer; alternatively you can use a preset PIN with
  -p instead of -r
rfcomm_sppd -a nokia1 -s DUN
if not already paired, the phone will ask for the PIN from above
  to allow pairing.
AT modem commands work, ^C to exit, or you can get it to attach
to a pty where you can run PPP
sdpquery -a nokia1 Browse
  big long list

but what I can't do is this:

obexftp -b nokia1 -X -vvv
error on connect(): Undefined error: 0

here's an updated version;

- bump library majors
- better license markers
- disable-usb doesn't work for openobex so LIB_DEPENDS on libusb
- disable language bindings in obexftp for now (the in-tree version
doesn't have them, the python one doesn't build, and they need to be
subpackages if we add them
- cvs rm the removed patches in obexftp so they're in the diff

... I haven't got obexftp talking to my phone over bluetooth either
yet though.

It probably would've been 4.4, not -current. I'm not sure how to check
current. I'll google around a bit and see if I can't test it tonight.

Bluetooth OBEX to my phone

2009-01-09 Thread andrew fresh
I am trying to talk to my phone with obex over bluetooth. However, I am
running into some trouble that appears to be a lack of understanding on
my part.

I recently sent in an update to openobex and obexftp that I believe
should give me access to my phone. Unfortunately I just get errors.

What am I doing wrong?

(although with this error, it could be the bluetooth adapters I have and
so a question for misc@)

With my adapter, I get this error from sdpquery
rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ sudo sdpquery -a 00:1a:1b:a2:6f:59 Search FTRN
sdpquery: sdp_open: Software caused connection abort

With the borrowed adapter, it just hangs with no error.

If I can solve this, I think it will get me much closer to making it
work.

(I can send a full dmesg if needed, but I think it is unnecessary at
this point)

rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ dmesg | head -2
OpenBSD 4.4-current (GENERIC.MP) #2038: Sun Dec 21 12:28:07 MST 2008
dera...@amd64.openbsd.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP

I have these two different ubt adapters I am trying:

(mine)
rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ dmesg | tail -2
ubt0 at uhub3 port 2 "Cambridge Silicon Radio Bluetooth" rev 1.10/5.25 addr 7

(borrowed from a friend)
rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ dmesg | tail -1
ubt0 at uhub3 port 2 "ISSC ISSCBTM" rev 1.10/3.73 addr 7

rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ pkg_info | grep -e bluetooth -e obex

It should, yes.
Easy for you to test is just update gtk. No need to recompile openoffice.

unbreak nagios

2009-01-09 Thread Henning Brauer
they don't understand nonblocking fds. easily visible when you have an
alert script that sleeps for a while, during this time nagios will
happily consume all COU cycles it can get. on EAGAIN, you must not
loop over and over again without any form of sleeping...

the fix is to use poll, of course.
has the nice side effect of lowering nagios' CPU usage consierably.

reported upstream. I think. their lists are weird.

emesene has to be updated to 1.0.1 to be of any use

2009-01-09 Thread Andrés
"1.0.1 is a bugfix-only release, including the update of the
"application id", hex number that some of the msn servers rejected.
All users should update as soon as possible, since this change is
going to be applied to all servers, resulting in either error messages
when trying to manipulate contacts, or empty contact list after
logging in."

I got the second issue, an empty contact list after logging in.

Don't know who the maintainer is, so I'm sharing this with you guys.

Greetings.
