Its goal is to emulate all aspects of the MSX with 100% accuracy: perfection in emulation. It also has a number of special features, some unique to this emulator. Ports-wise this looks good but it doesn't have a proper license grant under copyright, they just have this in a README: All source code and other works that are part of, or distributed with openMSX are copyrighted by their respective authors. The file 'AUTHORS' contains a list of people who made works for openMSX or contributed works to openMSX. Some source files contain a license notice; all other source files are licensed under the GNU Public License (GPL), of which you can find a copy in the file 'GPL'. If you got a binary release of openMSX and are interested in the sources, please visit our home page: http://openmsx.sourceforge.net/; This isn't enough, they need to actually assert copyright i.e. Copyright (c) Some person/organisation in order to be able to grant rights to distribute/modify/etc under license. (Also the referenced GPL and AUTHORS files are missing from the tarball). They really *ought* to have this on each source code file (they don't need the full license text just the copyright notice and a short pointer to the license terms). But as a minimum there would need to be some clear and unambiguous terms somewhere prominent in the distfile, at present it would need something like PERMIT_*=incomplete copyright information.

[WIP] audio/cmus (with a backend for sndio)
Hi, Attached is a port of cmus, an ncurses-based music player. I wrote backend for sndio, thanks to the patches which were written for audio/xmms by Thomas Pfaff, who kindly allowed me to license the file under the GPLv2 used by cmus. However, I'm not an expert with sndio, so I think it'd need some review. But it has been working OK on my 5 OpenBSD boxes, over the last year. The cmus developpers are OK to merge the sndio backend. They already have accepted the patch to use -pthread. I tried to make it a multi-package, but since it's somewhat my first port, I'm not really sure of what I've made -- comments welcome. I didn't enable all the plugins; I think most cmus' users don't want to whole ffmpeg circus and I don't know if it'd be a good idea to build a dozen of subpackages... Tested on i386, amd64, macppc and loongson. I added some tests to make it use tremor on arm, but I couldn't test that. -- Donovan. cmus.tar.gz Description: Binary data

Re: [PATCH] devel/llvm crashes on macppc when there's no Altivec
I think this deserves a bump... Hi, It seems clang is almost unusuable on old macppc boxes such as my G3 BW, which doesn't have Altivec support. This compiles OK: int main() { return 0; } but this crashes: /* Same thing, but with a comment. */ int main() { return 0; } with the following error: Stack dump: 0. Program arguments: /usr/local/bin/clang -cc1 -triple powerpc-unknown-openbsd4.9 -S -disable-free -disable-llvm-verifier -main-file-name test2.c -mrelocation-model static -mdisable-fp-elim -mconstructor-aliases -target-linker-version 2.15 -momit-leaf-frame-pointer -resource-dir /usr/local/bin/../lib/clang/2.9 -ferror-limit 19 -fmessage-length 0 -fno-signed-char -fgnu-runtime -fdiagnostics-show-option -o /tmp/cc-hLpenZ.s -x c test2.c 1. unknown parser at unknown location clang: error: unable to execute command: Illegal instruction (core dumped) clang: error: clang frontend command failed due to signal 1 (use -v to see invocation) I see there this a patch in the port [1] which undef's __SSE2__ so I guess the same thing should be done for __ALTIVEC__. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible for me to test the patch, since it would take forever to compile on such an old box. But I guess the issue is here.
