NEW: M2Crypto-0.21.1

2013-01-24 Thread Wiesław Herr
Hello,

M2Crypto is an OpenSSL wrapper for Python.

Although it's available via pypi, building it doesn't work due to SSLv2_method
being disabled in OpenBSD's OpenSSL. An appropriate patch fixing this was
incorporated into the port.

M2Crypto can be noted for being a dependency for Saltstack, an open
source configuration management tool which works with OpenBSD.

Any comments? OK's?

NEW graphics/rawtherapee

2013-01-24 Thread Kirill Bychkov
Hi.
Attached is a port for rawtherepee, RAW image processing application.

awTherapee is a powerful RAW image processing appliction. It helps you
to get the most details and least artifacts from your raw photos.
Advanced color handling, enhanced exposure and tonality tools, multiple
denoising methods gives you perfect results.

Works fine on amd64 with Pentax RAW photos (*.pex).

OK to commit?

Updated:

- just use security/ not also devel/ (which has way too many ports already)
- change PKGNAME to py-m2crypto-0.21.1 (more consistent with other ports)
- use MODPY_EGG_VERSION and fix PLIST so REVISION bumps don't break it
- plain ascii in MAINTAINER (sorry)
- redo wordwrapping in DESCR to look tidier
- enable tests

this version is OK sthen@.

building it doesn't work due to
SSLv2_method being disabled in OpenBSD's OpenSSL. An appropriate patch
fixing this was incorporated into the port.

This should be pushed back upstream to ensure M2Crypto is more portable and
builds with other OS's.

 Why?

I hate hiding dependencies in the name of simplifying dependencies.
I want to see which ports have dependencies on which libraries and
increasingly these are being hidden.

If you go this way, then you are missing at least graphics/cairo, x11/dbus,
/audio/libogg, ...

For the ports I maintain, Brian you can keep removing the LIB_DEPENDS since
this is how we do stuffs.

NEW: emulators/nestopia

2013-01-24 Thread Anthony J. Bentley
Hi,

Nestopia is an accuracy-focused emulator for the Nintendo Entertainment
System/Famicom (and Famicom Disk System). It is a computer program that
acts like a physical piece of hardware. In other words, this is a method
of preserving videogame history, with the welcome side effect of
allowing you to play NES games on a modern computer.

Nestopia uses highly optimized cycle exact emulation, allowing it to run
titles that rely on precise timing, many of which break under inferior
emulators.

Tested on amd64, i386, macppc.

ok?

No we don't do stuffs like that. You and 1-2 other developers have been
simplifying
the dependnecies which serves no purpose and yet hiding dependencies burns
people when
they're working on ports trying to determine which ports use another port as a
dependency.
It also makes it so ports are assuming certain ports are providing dependencies
to downstream
ports instead of ensuring proper explicit dependencies. There is no written or
unwritten
policy for what is being done.
