2014-01-15 Thread Juan Francisco Cantero Hurtado

Modified files:
lang/racket: Makefile
Added files:
lang/racket/patches: patch-src_racket_src_gmp_gmplonglong_h

Log message:
Racket doesn't build on i386 with clang. Spotted by sthen@.

The offending code is the i386 assembler within gmplonglong.h.
Using the same C code used by amd64, the interpreter builds but
it breaks the racket math libs. I tried to fix the bug backporting
some fixes related to gmp or clang from the racket repo but nothing
worked.

GCC 4.6 fixes also the crashes with the udp.rktl test but doesn't
break the math lib, so I'm changing the port to use the ports GCC.
Obviously there is some broken code on racket but I need more
time to find it.

I've included an additional patch for the gmp version included
with racket. The version is pretty old and only has assembler
code for old CPUs while the racket developers mostly only test
their code on amd64. Now racket uses the C code used by amd64
for every platform.

 I ran pkg_add -u and it printed a warning about @endfake being
obsolete. It may have been in the xvidcore package, or not; it was

This is normal. @endfake is now obsolete. It's been removed from ports but some
of your old pkg may still have this marker.
Since you just updated them, you won't see this warning anymore.

packages snapshots signed with wrong key

2014-01-15 Thread Sébastien Marie
Hi,

Short story: the latest package snapshost (i386) is signed with
55pkg.pub, but the @signer in +CONTENTS is 54pkg.

Long story:

I upgraded to (near) latest base system (OpenBSD bert.local 5.5 GENERIC.MP#217
i386).
And I tried to update my ports too, via packages.

My mirror is ftp://mirror.esc7.net/pub/OpenBSD/snapshots/packages/i386/
It should be same state as ftp.openbsd.org (having same SHA256 in directory).

# pkg_add -aui

pub fp: UQW0HmnVm5k=
sig fp: qMGXBLsGJhI=
signify: verification failed: checked against wrong key
system(/usr/bin/signify, -p, /etc/signify/54pkg.pub, -V, -m,
/tmp/pkgcontent.8ERtOK64G) failed: exit(1)
--- +quirks-1.106 ---
Bad signature
Fatal error: quirks-1.106 is corrupted
 at /usr/libdata/perl5/OpenBSD/PkgAdd.pm line 659.

To be sure about the error, I test the following:

# /usr/bin/signify -p /etc/signify/54pkg.pub -V -m /tmp/pkgcontent.8ERtOK64G
pub fp: UQW0HmnVm5k=
sig fp: qMGXBLsGJhI=
signify: verification failed: checked against wrong key

OK, the key 54pkg is not the signer.

# /usr/bin/signify -p /etc/signify/55pkg.pub -V -m /tmp/pkgcontent.8ERtOK64G
#

So no error with 55pkg.pub, so the 55pkg is the signer.

But in the package, the registered signer is 54pkg.

This is normal. @endfake is now obsolete. It's been removed from ports but
some of your old pkg may still have this marker.
Since you just updated them, you won't see this warning anymore.

ok, but these packages were only a few weeks old. I think it's weird
to warn about something in this case, because there's nothing I could
have done about it. it just causes unnecessary panic. i.e., i either
read the warnings from pkg_add and think about them, or i slowly get
trained to ignore them entirely.

You can use pkg_add -u -D nosig for now. New packages are heading out
so this will fix itself later.

Well, compare @endfake to all the stuff the gtk-update* whatever said
over the last 2 or 3 months each time glib2 changed...

Most of the time, when packages internals change, you don't even see a
thing... as for endfake, I rushed things a bit, as we don't have that
much time before next release, which is the reason that you even SAW the
warning

as for warnings, sure, go ahead, ignore them... pkg_add is not VERY verbose
compared to everything that goes on internally. They tend to be incredibly
useful when someone really gets into trouble, and they give me a verbatim
transcript of what went wrong...

What tedu saw is in a new package. I saw it as well, on a fresh install.
I do not remember the exact package (but I did inform espie).
