My understanding is that LOVE keeps API compatibility between minor versions, so 11.1 is obviated by 11.2 and eventually 11.4. If that's the case, we should rename the packaged files and the port directories to 0.8, 0.10, and 11, and only package the latest of each. I would also like the version numbers in PLIST to use a SUFFIX variable (as autoconf, etc. do).

Any tips? desmume is a DS emulator, not a 3DS emulator. It doesn't support 3DS files or CIA files. (citra is a 3DS emulator and should be able to handle those files.) That said, desmume shouldn't crash like that. I'll look into it.

When a version number decreases like libvterm's does, the port needs to set EPOCH so the smaller number is considered newer. Without it package upgrades won't work either. (This is why when creating unofficial version numbers from dates, it's better to use something like 0.0plDATE or 0.0.DATE rather than using the date as a version number directly.)

In fact, I would also like to introduce a FONT_FILES variable that can be set to a list of font files to install (including wildcards). We could put all the other libretro cores in a subdirectory. But the main benefit of subdirectories is that the ports inside can share variables. libretro cores have assorted upstreams, homepages, and build systems, so there's not much to be shared besides PKGNAME. Perhaps a libretro meta package would be useful though. > (rename so they all > start with libretro- similarly to py{3}-* etc). In the case of gw-libretro that is the name selected by upstream, so I am inclined to stick to it.

UPDATE: fonts/noto/cjk
Hi, Here's an update to the latest tagged release of Noto CJK. I've switched the port to OpenType variable fonts only, meaning all glyph variants (Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, etc.) and font weights are contained within a single .ttc for serif and for sans-serif. This reduces the size of the package from 228 MB to 47 MB. This link demonstrates the glyph variants in Chrome: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Han_unification#Examples_of_language-dependent_glyphs The fonts also display in LibreOffice including bold and regular weight. I couldn't figure out how to trigger glyph variants in LO though. Tests appreciated, especially from regular users of CJK fonts. ok? fonts/noto update [Chrome testers wanted]
Here is an update to the latest version of noto-fonts and noto-emoji, a variant of a diff previously sent by Yifei Zhan. I intend to commit it, but since Noto is a dependency of Chromium, I would prefer to see some test reports first to ensure it doesn't break anyone's rendering. The main expected change is broader Unicode support, for emojis in particular, and several other Unicode ranges which you can figure out by looking at the PLIST portion of the diff. These pages should provide a good sample of characters to browse: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoji https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Unicode_characters Note: I'm not updating noto-cjk in this diff, as Chrome doesn't depend on it. This needs to be documented somewhere. bsd.port.mk(5) implies that LIB_DEPENDS is not necessary for dlopen'd libraries: LIB_DEPENDS not needed for There doesn't seem to be any WANTLIB to match the given LIB_DEPENDS. Thus, the LIB_DEPENDS won't turn into a @depends line in the created package. This is often because of confusion between LIB_DEPENDS and RUN_DEPENDS: RUN_DEPENDS is needed for dlopen'd libraries.

Is autoreconf known to have some sort of junking issue? I tried but failed to reproduce this. But reading through aclocal, maybe it could happen if gconf2 is deleted while aclocal's scan_m4_dirs() is running. That would suggest to me that junking is unsafe for any CONFIGURE_STYLE=autoreconf port. Then again the first part of the dpb log suggests there was no junking going on. I'm baffled on this one.

Just use the output from make port-lib-depends-check. - No need to set MODPY_VERSION, Python 3 is already default. - Since Python is just used for the build, set MODPY_RUNDEP=No. - Actually, according to README locales don't need to be rebuilt if we're using release tarballs, which we are. So just drop the Python stuff completely. - Drop glib2 and harfbuzz from LIB_DEPENDS, they are brought in by pango. - It looks like MAKE_FLAGS, FAKE_FLAGS, and post-install are no longer necessary and can be deleted.

DESCR should read "easier to read and recognize", not "easier to read recognize". License marker should be Apache 2.0 + GPLv3. Most new font imports don't follow the practice of including language or file format in the package name like "zh" or "ttf". I guess part of the reason is that fonts tend to support multiple locales and provide additional formats like OTF. I would prefer to call it simply "wqy-microhei".
