Because author Texmaker has made desktop-file and icons for it
(texmaker16x16.png, texmaker22x22.png, texmaker32x32.png,
texmaker32x32.png, texmaker48x48.png, texmaker64x64.png,
texmaker128x128.png and texmaker.svg), but by default they are
installed in a folder/usr/local/share/texmaker and there is no
place are not used.

texmaker.desktop:
[Desktop Entry]
Categories=Office; Publishing; Qt; X-SuSE-Core-Office;
X-Mandriva-Office-Publishing; X-Misc;
Encoding=UTF-8
Exec=texmaker
GenericName=LaTeX Editor
GenericName [fr] =Editeur LaTeX
Comment=LaTeX development environment
Comment [fr] =Environnement de développement LaTeX
Icon=texmaker
^^
Therefore
texmaker16x16.png - /usr/local/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/texmaker.png etc.

MimeType=text/x-tex;
Name=Texmaker
Name [fr] =Texmaker
StartupNotify=false
Terminal=false
Type=Application

I have considered what conveniently to have Texmaker in the System menu
right after installations as the author has already created all
necessary files.

Sorry, I badly write on English.

Hi Alexandr (and ports@)

Some time ago, I submitted an update to my texmaker port to 1.7.1. I
see you used the old port as a basis. For example, the WANTLIB and
LIB_DEPENDS are not updated.

I updated my patch also to 1.8. In attach.

Kind Regards

Thomas

I corrected your patch. In attach.

texmaker-1.8

2008-11-26 Thread Alexandr Shadchin
Texmaker is a program that integrates many tools needed to develop
documents

with LaTeX, in just one application.

Features :
* an editor to write your LaTeX source files
* the principal LaTex tags can be inserted directly
* 370 mathematical symbols can be inserted in just one click
* wizards to generate code
* LaTeX-related programs can be launched via the Tools menu
* the standard Bibtex entry types can be inserted in the .bib file
* a structure view of the document for easier navigation of a
document

* extensive LaTeX documentation
* in the Messages / Log File frame, you can see information about
  processes and the logfile after a LaTeX compilation
* the Next Latex Error and Previous Latex Error commands let you
reach

  the LaTeX errors detected by Kile in the log file
* by clicking on the number of a line in the log file, the cursor
jumps to

  the corresponding line in the editor

I also brought your 1.7 port up to date, but had problems with the
shortcut keys. Have you tried changing them from defaults and seeing
if they work?
