Saw the FREE Anna Egge show at Schuba's tonight, which was mighty

I'm familiar with the name, but that's allwho is Anna Egge? (Her
name reminds me of that godawful They Might Be Dickheads song.)

 CK liking these 7:30 shows

Early shows rock. We played a 7:30 Sunday night show at a cool
neighborhood bar where Jon's 52 bands play regularly. Great fun, a
cool way to wrap up the weekend, and everyone (except the band)
was home by 10:30. I wish more places did this.

Resisting the urge to defend TMBG after our little Shonen Knife
disagreement...

Anna Egge is an Austin singer songwriter (via New Mexico and North
Dakota) - plays solo acoustic live, a bit more instrumentation on her
CDs. She tends to get grouped with folks like Iris Dement - mostly
slower, sadder songs wrapped around great stories - beautiful voice too.
Check her out.

Sounds good, I'll keep it in mind.

But the really important question that's been bugging me on this score...
How do you pronounce the good Ms. Egge's name?

Egg-y? Edgy? Edge?

leggo my curiosity,

doing my taxes...yeah yeah. g

Is this the Bob that only goes to a show or two a month when he can
convince his girlfriend to drive him?

And who'd better be at the Mike Ireland show in an hour or so.

Hey there,

I'm almost positive its Eggy, like "this cake batter is too eggy." In
fact, I believe an employee of Miles of Music corrected me when I ordered
her first CD.
