Re: Buckner, free agent status?
Date: Fri, 12 Feb 1999 15:32:38 EST From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you're looking for confirmation, I can tell you that Buckner is indeed the lateset victim of "Unigram" Can I make a request here? As the heads roll, can y'all either post the info on P2 or, if the masses aren't interested, drop me a line offlist? I want to keep tabs on the bloodletting. On this subject, there was an interesting overview of the downsizing/bloodletting going on in Nashville in this week's Nashville Scene, including an article "Art for Sale" by P2's Bill Friskics-Warren. See: http://www.nashscene.com/ and follow the link for this week's cover story. Bob

Post it here. I'm interested also and I know of a number of others on the list who are too. While ramblin' around looking for details on the Garth story last night, I noticed an item on, I think, BMS, that Suzy Bogguss is now among the free agents, having "parted ways" with Capitol. Jon Weisberger Kenton County, KY [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://home.fuse.net/jonweisberger/

According to my sources, Suzy is contemplating both film and Broadway offers as of late but also looking to hook up with another record company. I would not be surprised to see her follow Lari White, Randy Travis, Aaron Tippin or any of the other recent casualties to either Lyric Street or Dreamworks, maybe even Asylum. While all the other labels are downsizing, Lyric has Disney's money behind them and of course Dreamworks is supported by the Hollywood Holy Grail. I knew the White Sox fired Bill Buckner as hitting coach, but I thought he picked up another gig. I assumed the Red Sox weren't in the running though. Any P2ers in town during the season who want to visit the finest stadium in the west, give me a hollar. But only if you're Dodger fans, or at least fan enough to not be rooting against them at that moment in time. I hate sharing beers with someone rooting for their loser team. Koufax Weiss
