Rather than pointing out that I haven't name-dropped in ages (or at least
since the last time the Replacements were discussed around here), I'll just
say that I, for one, would really like to know how and why my younger bro
came to be chatting with The Handsomest Man in Punk Rock on the telephone
(and why he didn't put me on conference-call when this was happening). So
give, bro.

I don't think the conference call option has been invented yet in Dave's special
dream world. I think they are still using rotary phones actually.

The X shows are part of something called LA Music Week
not sure what the ticket format is
but you can check out their website: www.lamusicweek.com
or, since the shows are at the House of Blues,
their website: www.hob.com
or, give in and call ticketmaster: 323/480-3232 (that's the LA number)
the show is listed in the HoB ad but it doesn't specifically say if
the tickets are on sale or not.

We're booking the Calgary Folk Festival right now (July 22-26), and we
wanted to get X but the price was prohibitive - that damned Canadian/US
exchange rate being the main problem. So we did the next best
thing...booked John and Exene separately with their respective bands, and
they've agreed to do a workshop together.

More details on the final lineup in about two weeks.

Well I think you should call him back up and tell him to change his mind and
head east!
Or at least have him call WDVR's Common Thread Sunday Night between 10PM and
midnight so I can beg him to.

Yes I know I don't say much on this list but this is X

Dunno, but I can't imagine they are this far in advance. You might go to
hob.com for guidance, assuming there is any to be found there.
