VST charger for 1400?

The OP must have gotten one of eBay bobsbid's 5300-only chargers. He 
claims they work with LiIon batteries, but in my experience they do not 
work with LiIon batts, only with NiMH batts.

That said, I've been wondering what to do with the boxload of new VST 
3400 chargers I have . . . the ones with both connection types which can 
charge NiMH and LiIon batts. I'm positive they charge 3400 batts, and 
semi-positive they charge the 3500 batts as well. Anyone interested in 
one or 10 or  . . . more? Cheap!

Sorry for the sort-of-sales-pitch, just hadn't thought about them in 
awhile and this thread reminded me I really ought to make a 
VST-charger-boxload-sized hole in my storage area. If yer interested, 
contact me directly please!

VST has changed that product a bunch.

There are 190/5300 changers which have 190/5300-only power brick 
connections.

There are 3400 changers which have 3400/3500/WS-only power brick 
connections.

(There are apparently chargers which have dual connections for 190/5300 
*and* 3400/3400/WS power bricks, but I haven't seen those).

There are 3500 chargers (which also accept 190/5300/3400 batteries) and 
have 3400/3400/WS-only power brick connections. These are the scarce ones.

There is different firmware in each, and even the WS charger, which 
accept the ubiquitous 45 W power brick from the earlier machines, has at 
least three firmware revs: 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2.

I think they do charge the LiOns, but to be honest, I can't remember--I'm 
at work and don't have the charger info handy.  The box doesn't specify 
only nickle-metal hydride (pulled up and looked at the box on one of the 
ebay auctions).  I don't own a LiOn battery so I'm not sure.  All the 
other ads on the web that I could find with google never specify one 
battery type or another, either.

power supply in order to power the charger.  (My PB 5300's charger works 
fine with the charger I got.  :) )  It's a hassle, but I've seen the PS 
going for under $10 on ebay lately.

I thought they had both connections side by side.

5300 is a long thin plug, the 3400 the later phono style.

VST Chargers for 190/5300/3400?

Ok I finally bought one of those battery chargers off
eBay that you see for sale every day but the little
hole where the ac adapter goes doesn't fit my 3400 ac
adapter.  I thought it was supposed to use our PB
charger to work.

Anyone know where I can get the correct part?  Its
been a long time since I had a 5300 but I don't
remember its ac adapter looking like that either.
