my 140 does the same thing, and mine cannot run off of the battery because a
fuse is dead. bad luck on my part, but without batt and wall power it
wont work, thou it will work batt only when i find a replacment fuse

stuffit expander

heh, if you want multiple computers, get a router, just get the router, plug
it in, follow directions, use internet on 2+ computers off of one internet
connection :)

for the screw in the back near all the input/ouptut thingys, and t-8 for all

battery? i had it tested and it was fine, i used a resistance tester on the
fuse, it went off the charts at all the mesurments so.. its bad :) anyway,
the same problem presents itself with my newer battery... :)

Battery Problem

My powerbook 140's battery has ceased to function... it only works when the
battery is plugged in and the ac is plugged in i was told it was a 5A
125V fuse... i checked it and it went off the resistance scales so i will
assume it is bad. would the fuse being bad cause said problem? i tested the
ac to dc adapter, it is fine... if i replace the fuse will it work? (or just
solder wires into another fuse)?
