1/2 OT: watch out seller _ follow up
They acknowledged their mistake and shipped for free to Italy the right item. Moreover they did not want the wrong thing back. It was only a useless 5 bucks worth thing, but I appreciated the behavior. Seller is: www.mydigitaldiscount.com. So I left my positive feedback. Actually seller hasn't yet left its positive feedback although I paid 1 hr after the bid closed. So one question: shouldn't the seller leave the feedback ASA buyer pays? very frequently they use their feedback as a weapon for unhappy buyers. I personally think that sellers should be forced to leave their feedback ASA money are transferred. Opinion? They have an e-bay feedback score of 98.5% but they had 96 negative feedbacks from users in the last year. Almost all of them were for wrong item. IMHO, this would put an unfair leverage into the hands of unscrupulous buyers. OTOH . . . I've been an eBay buyer and seller since July '98 with 100% positive rating of 450 on 526 feedbacks (dankephoto.) I treat my buyers as I would wish to be treated and they've reciprocated in kind. As a seller I _always_ leave positive feedback once the item has shipped. The buyer has done their part by paying, else why would I have shipped the item? If the buyer has a problem with the item, I make it right based on my guarantee of satisfaction, rather than an implied threat based on so-far unleft feedback. Similarly, I never leave feedback for those from whom I've bought until they leave feedback for me. I consider my obligation finished once I've payed, if the seller is too cynical to leave feedback, well then I say they don't need mine. The idea that I'm obligated to be _satisfied_() before the seller posts feedback is the height of arrogance on their part. I'm not interested in rewarding such people for their presumption. In response to the OP's question - the seller doesn't have to leave feedback, and nor do you. I agree, but know from experience that there are MANY MORE unscrupulous buyers than sellers...
