Is it possible to use IP to connect to the other computers with OS 8.6?
I guess I don't know how to set it to do that or what settings to look for.
The Appletalk works OK on the wired side of the switch/routers.

If the other computers are running OS 9 you can. You have to enable
the IP option in File Sharing.

My Belkin doesn't pass AppleTalk. You can use IP to connect to the
 other computers and the LW8500.

My AT&T 6800G wireless router passes AppleTalk as did the Netgear MR314

Yes, the LAN side of most routers is simply a switch which cares
naught about the protocol used.

Hi all,
I got my pb 1400 OS 8.6 working wireless as far as internet and

I've read all the internet instructions I can find, but the only
possible

solution I've seen is to upgrade to OS 9.
Am I missing a step? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I've got a lucent wavelan wireless card and am using a belkin wireless

These days about the only wireless router that passes AppleTalk is the
Apple Airport line.
