Re: question about music software

2002-05-07 Thread Dean

The Mac Addict CD recently came with some groovy music software,
some free, some demos. I'll check once I get home and forward
links to the sw, if they exist. The CD came in the issue with
an interview with BT. Really great issue and CD.

Peace, Dean

Re: question about music software

2002-05-07 Thread hope and the anchor

I am ideally looking for something to allow me to create/edit beats, a
simple drum machine program would be very nice. Anything else would be
gravy, really. I use several quite handy freeware music progs for wintel
machines (coagula, etc,) which would be very nice ot have on my 3400, since
it's the only portable computer I have readily available. Sorry if I wasn't
clearer in my original post; I am not looking for software to listen/burn
CDs or anything like that.

Hope

HRm, as far as i recall, there's no decent freeware music software for the
Mac. I have a lot of audio software though, and I can definitely recommend
Propellerheads' Reason. It runs pretty well on my 3400c, but you may have
to upgrade to 8.1 or 8.6.

It costs over $200, but it's completely self contained, and worth every
penny.

Not knowing what specifically you want ot do, try
http://www.pure-mac.com/music.html or
http://www.macupdate.com/multimedia.php?sub=2 . They
list shareware, freeware, etc. That should get you
started.
