Re(3): Foreign text
I have sent myself several Hebrew emails (via GyazMail) coded ISO 8859-8, set PM preferences for undefined incoming mail to ISO 8859-8 with language family Hebrew, and used mail > encoding > iso 8859-8, but I still receive question marks. Moreover, PM crashed about 6 times, once even crashing the whole OS, once I managed to force quit it after 5 min, when changing the text encoding or opening the mail under discussion. Am I doing something wrong here? I assume the ISO encoding is a safer bet than Mac Hebrew settings, because most email will alas come from Windows users. I know off hand of at least 3 or 4 things that should be fixed/added before something as tricky as threading is added (I have never found a perfect threading email client... some messaged get orphaned or branched that shouldn't be, but I also haven't spent any real time using threading). Hi, Sometimes I receive an email in Hebrew, with the text replaced by question marks. Is there a way in PM to preserve the original format and then read such mails in another app that can handle it, similar to the HTML option? Because my university does not want me to leave POPmail on the server (which would have solved the problem), and PM does not handle IMAP conveniently enough to really use it (which would also solve the problem), at the moment such emails are essentially lost as soon as PM retrieves them. All the best Willem

Cool - this change in behaviour completely passed by my attention. Filters now can do exactly what I need, thanks for pointing it out! Regards, Christian (who has been actually using the beta for quite some time now - duuh...)

Automatically add set of CC's when To is ?
Hi, is there a way to have PM automatically add a set of CC: adresses when the To: address of an outgoing/newly composed mail is a specific one? Background is that a customer of mine wants me to CC any mails to him to some list of related addressees. Since I constantly forget to do this manually, I'd like to automate this by having added the defined ones automatically when composing a mail to him. Things I've already looked at: 1) Outgoing mail filter: Does not work since they run only AFTER sending the mail. 2) Address Book group: Does not work since all group members are added either all as To: addressees or Cc: addressees, but not preconfigurable selectable as one To: and the remaining as CCs (at least I haven't found something like this). Any ideas? Thanks, Christian.
