Re: OSX103.7 anyone?
Update: The symptom got worse. First time in its life, my TiBook800 started to get Desktop freeze, which was caused by one of the Startup app. My suspicion went to iCal Alarm which was also updated at the same time of OSX10.3.7. After removing them from SafeBoot, I got KP. My suspicion went to TTP eDisk unmount script corruption on this. Oh, and DW was crashing at catalog check. Scary. None of this happened on my Dual-450, by the way. All this started happen 2 hours before my location recording job, and I was totally freaked out. fsck was reporting error every time I got Desktop freeze. I finally got it up an running by: - Removing iCal Alarm and Temperature Monitor - Resetting TTP eDrive - Finally ran DiskWarrior without crashing Nope, I didn't do prebindings since I don't see how it could affect the performance on anything but launching. Luckily PM too is back in the expected performance, or I actually even feel its better performance. The only one last remaining issue after OSX10.3.7 update is Safari performance, and I am not ready to dump its cache just yet :-) -- - Hiro [PROTECTED] [PROTECTED] [PROTECTED]

Before and after Combi-update, I repaired permission, ran fsck, dump sys/ usr caches as my routine. None of other apps I use got any impact but PM. I have to find time to do PM FirstAid. 10.3.7 makes same special troubles. Have a look at: http://www.macintouch.com/panreader48.html#dec17 http://www.macfixit.com/
What is the Folder List In Tray?
For some reason my screen was black when I returned after leaving the computer for a few hours and wouldn't light up. I forced the computer to shut down and restarted. When I opened PM and Window - Mail Browser, a Folder List In Tray opened which was completely blank except for a list of my mail folders on the left hand side - no columns and no Browser Bar. Quit PM and reopened with the First Aid and checked the first five boxes. The Folder List In Tray reappeared the same as before. Quit again but, while I was updating this message, a dialog opened telling me my search indexes needed rebuilding and asked did I want to do it now. But, by the time I had finished typing, the dialog disappeared. I reopened PM, this time I did just the requested search index rebuild with First Aid. The empty Folder List In Tray reappeared. Quit again. Repaired Disk Permissions. Reopened PM. Same result but, again, while updating this message, the rebuild search indexes reappeared (with PM quit??). This time I clicked 'Do It Now' straight away. This time when I opened PM and Window - Mail Browser the Mail Browser In Tray opened normally. I don't think Repairing Permissions really did anything but does anyone understand what is going on? This rigmarole also happened a few days ago. Thanks, Frank -- Frank Mitchell, Scottsdale, Arizona.
