Re: Problem with message database

I've managed to open it after low level database rebuilt. Fortunately,
PM3.1.2 had that option, too.

Good!

(Need I question the last time you backed up your mail database? Speaking
from personal experience of data loss... ;)

Chris,

Thanks so much!

Once again, I'm happy that I use Power Mail. :-)

Oops: I actually can't remember if PowerMail at version 3.1.2 _has_ the
fourth checkbox. It may have been added later. The fourth would read
 low
level database rebuild or some such. That's probably the one you need.
Any other version 3 users care to comment?

Re: Problem with message database

2003-03-06 Thread C. A. Niemiec

When trying to open Power Mail I get message:

Database error 100 () in 9(DBGetRecord)
Low level error 160

This prevents from opening my mail message database and this is a VERY
serious problem I MUST solve since I have a rather large message
archive and I need to restore access to it.

Hold down option and command keys when launching PowerMail. This will
give you some first aid options (first four checkboxes). I'd work on a
copy (just to be sure). Also drop a line to the PowerMail team if that
doesn't solve it (even though they read this list). And repost here if
the above doesn't work. I don't have any further insight, but perhaps
someone else can provide more complete instructions.

Dear Sirs,

After two years of use, I've encountered problem with Power Mail and it
seems to be a rather serious one.

When trying to open Power Mail I get message:

Low level error 160

This prevents from opening my mail message database and this is a VERY
serious problem I MUST solve since I have a rather large message

I would appreciate assistance in this rather urgent and important
matter.

I use OSX 10.2.4 and Power Mail 3.1.2

Re: Database Export

2003-02-25 Thread Chris Walker

Dear Christian:

this is because only the PM Exchange format supports exporting the DB in
one single file.

Thanks! I thought it might be something like that.

Chris

Re: Database Export

Dear Chris,

For the first time I want to export my entire mail database File-
Database- export and notice that the only export format available is
PowerMail Exchange. All the other buttons are greyed out.

this is because only the PM Exchange format supports exporting the DB in
one single file. You probably need to export your messages folder-by-
folder; select them all and choose the Export all selected folders/
messages option, then you will have more choices.

Database Export

2003-02-25 Thread Chris Walker

Hi all,

For the first time I want to export my entire mail database File-
Database- export and notice that the only export format available is
PowerMail Exchange. All the other buttons are greyed out.

Is this normal? Since it's the first time I've wanted to do it I don't
know if it is, or if I have a problem.

Cheers,

Chris
