Is there any way to automatically copy incoming IMAP (from iCloud) messages to the In Tray ? Doing it by hand is a real problem (and error-prone since I am doing it on my home system and a laptop). Thanks.Peter Lovell p.s. your email was sent on 11 July rather than 26 Oct, but you already know about that issue
Re(2): IMAP stuff
Hi all, Also, when I use IMAP with Powermail, and I delete spam and e-mails, they are grayed out but are still in the InBox. Is there a way to change that? Do I need to be able to do it directly using iCloud only? Thanks, and so long for now, TOM - whenever the system goes to sleep I get SSL errors when it wakes up. THis is a pain. Is there a way to get PowerMail to disconnect from IMAP when the system goes to sleep? Hi Peter, I am just this second noticing this happen here also. Looking for a fix. Thanks, and so long for now, TOM
Re(2): IMAP stuff
Hi, I just tried the script but the messages are still there, grayed out but filling up the InBox. I disconnected and reconected the account and the messages are still there. So long for now, TOM Also, when I use IMAP with Powermail, and I delete spam and e-mails, they are grayed out but are still in the InBox. Did you try to delete such mails with the PowerMail AppleScript Delete Message Immediately?
Re(2): IMAP stuff
Hi Midi, Thank you for the help. The EXPUNGE Command does get ride of many of them, although it's slow. I'll have to keep up with that. It seems there might even be a max number of deletions per command (could that be the case?) I have 15 left in the InBox, and they are not responding correctly. They do not want to be expunged! Any suggestions for that phenomenon. I've tried 4 times but they are still in the InBox. Do I need to rebuild the databse or something? Are they corrupted or what? Thanks, and so long for now, TOM After you delete the message and it is grey, under PowerMail, select Erase (Expunge) Deleted Messages. Midi Tom caused electrons to hula in cyberspace with: Also, if I select all the greyed out messages and try to move them to an IMAP Deleted Messages Folder, nothing happens. Any ideas? Re(2): IMAP stuff
Hi Midi, Good to know. I'll keep notes, and if I discover anything new. I'll post. Thanks, and so long for now, TOM I noticed that it doesn't always work on all. I found it best to delete, expunge, and quit, then come back and most are gone. Also if you have some that you are keeping that are ordered with the ones you want to delete, that can cause a problem. I have been too busy to experiment with changing the order of the messages. One day I will explore more. Midi Tom caused electrons to hula in cyberspace with: Hi Midi, Thank you for the help.
