I'll see what I can get done in between bouts of relaxation, outdoor rink hockey and food eating. :) -b -- Ben Kennedy, chief magician zygoat creative technical services 613-228-3392 | 1-866-466-4628 http://www.zygoat.ca

Hi Ben, Just checking to see if there is any new yet on that wonderful tool you are developing to save databases. I am looking forward to using it. Hi Christian, I did get your direct message, but I'm replying to the list as well for completeness sake. I do indeed have such a tool in the works. You can download a preliminary version here: http://www.zygoat.ca/~ben/PMSalvage-20031105.sit That build is a month and a half old and has saving temporarily disabled though, since there are a couple of issues I have yet to fix, but it should help provide an idea of what is rescu-able. (note that Stuffit Expander 8 screws up the permissions, you will need to at execute permission on the Mach-O executable or else use an earlier version of Stuffit Exp to expand it.) I hope to address this within the coming week, and also get a formal web page with more background information up. I'll let you know as soon as the fully functional version is available. -ben -- Ben Kennedy, chief magician zygoat creative technical services 613-228-3392 | 1-866-466-4628 http://www.zygoat.ca

Re: Support Question
Christian, I am sorry, I have not received any reply yet. I am not aware of any anti-spam filters installed, but perhaps they are. Would you be willing to post to the list the answer, and I can work from there? This message is sent both directly and to the the list. Do you receive it twice? If the low level rebuild does not work on your database, and a disk check with a disk utility does not help either, and you don't have recent backups, then the only solution is to use a third party rescue tool to export your database, and import it in a fresh database.
