RE: [NF] Word 2007

2007-01-03 Thread PabloSr
Hi James.

I sent you the converted file. One is the word file saved in Word2003
compatible format, and the second is the same file printed to the Adobe
printer, thus converting it to PDF.

I could not convert from within the Word Document itself as there appears
to be some incompatibility between Acrobat 8 and Office2007 in terms of the
PDFMaker files.

I hope it is good enough for you. The converted file looks great, actually.
Both files are a direct result of conversion, not manipulation or changes
after conversion. I say this, because the Word rendering of the document
does not look on the screen as good as the converted pdf file version.

Best regards.

Did you try OpenOffice. Of all 'Office' software, I've found OO to be the
best at working with word processor files - especially when going between
different word processor software.

Side note: if you want the 'word processor compatibility' nightmare to get
better, you better do everything you can to get people off MS Word. Every
place I've done this so far has benefited from the move.

I tried OO recently and was plesently supprised. This was after
reinstalling my main PC and I couldn't be bothered to go through the
Office activation stuff.

In the end I had to install Word anyway. SWMBO wanted to fill in a
job application form that arrived as RTF. Everything worked fine in
OO except we couldn't click the checkboxes.
