Yes, you are (as usual) correct, mon ami.  Patton thought the world of Rommel 
as a tactician and commander, and had great respect for him as well.  Too bad 
he was on the side of the enemy, though.  But oddly enough the Germans has a 
much higher opinion of Patton than the politically-correct Americans.  
Nevertheless, George S. is my hero.  I don't think you can ever be too old to 
have a hero or two.

Nietzsche is not around to resolve this issue (like the falling tree making a 
sound in an empty forest).  I contend that the very last one did not practice 
seppuku, by definition.  Killing yourself because you are captured is not very 
good.  If John McCain had done that, who would we have to look up to now?  Our 
American Code of Conduct requires that anyone captured by the enemy must make 
every effort to escape and otherwise interfere with the continued existence of 
that enemy, not to commit suicide or practice seppuku.  Therefore, I must say 
that Seppuku is for Sissies!
