Hello,

at this moment i'm trying the 30-day demo of pt 11,1 to decide to change
from sonar 8.5 to pt.

One of the things I learned from the podcast of Kevin Reeves is to quickly
solo, arm tracks from within the tracklist by selecting a track with
vo-spacebar and press ctrl-s etc.

But it doesn't work. I always select or arm the same track.

Is this feature no longer available in pt11 or am I missing something.

Kind regards, Tom.

In the options menu, make sure that Link track and edit selection is
checked. That will fix it.

Why this isn't on by default, I will never know.

Re: Digi 003 questions

2014-05-04 Thread Cliff Isaksen
Hi! This is nothing less than awesome!
I got PT only one month ago, and I'm going to the post office tomorrow to
pick up a Digi 003, so the rtf will really come in handy, Slau! Thanks a
lot!
One question;
Will I need drivers to get the Digi 003 up and running on Mavericks with PT
10, or is it as simple as plug and play?

All the best

Hi Cliff,

I've had a 003 knocking around the studio for a while, actually, since Pro
Tools version 9 so there was never any need to install drivers, per se. I
haven't used it with version 11 so I can't say whether there's any need for
installing drivers of any kind. Others with 003s might be able to comment on
that. The 003 is not my primary system so I'm not up on the latest
news/requirements with that interface.

Best,

Slau

Hi cliff,

I have recently upgraded from pro tools nine to eleven. I use a Digi 002. It
was indeed plug and play with version nine but I had to install the drivers to
get it up and running with PT eleven. Its an easy download from the Avid
website though and you'll be up and running quickly with minimum fuss.

Re: Digi 003 questions

2014-05-04 Thread Cliff Isaksen
Hi and thanks both of you!
Since PT 11 for some weird reason is eating up 120 % of my CPU, I'm using
PT 10 as long as possible, so I'll probably just have to try and see if I
can use the Digi 003 first without installing any drivers. And if that
won't work, I'll have to take a look at the avid website and see if I can
find it! :)
I was at first thinking about something more expensive like a C24 or a
D-Command as my controller, but the thing is, I really don't have enough
room for it in my little home studio, so the Digi 003 seemed to be a good
option for a not THAT big expense as the others, that are more on the
expensive side...
Well, wish me luck... Really looking forwards to laying my hands on a real
controller surface now!
Kind regards from Tired-of-interacting-Cliff

Hi, What is the process for signing up and getting started with a pro
tools trial as I have some friends who wish to do this but I was not
sure how they would go about it as I bought my pro tools 10 boxed copy
which came with an ilok with the proper license then upgraded to pro
tools 11 and was able to just transfer the bundle 10 and 11 license with
Avid support and things are still working just fine. Nick Gawronski

Hi, Yes you will need to install the digi 003 drivers for 10 and 11. I
am not sure if you need both but I had a person from Avid remote into my
mac and fix the ilok license for me and they installed the drivers.
