protools playback engine issue
Hi guys. Have just upgraded to yo semitics on the mac. Strange behaviour with protools 11 for some reason when i go in to the set up menu and select the playback engine, i can’t seem to see a list of all the audio devices available for protocols to play through. It will show me pro tools aggregate device, and some times air play. But when i v o space on the pop up button, i do not get the list of devices. So i can not select my pre songs audio interface. or anything else. Is there a way around this. I am aware that there is a new upgrade to protools, but have not worked out how to download this as yet. I have no problem with selecting any device in pro tools 10.39. any help would be very much appreciated. Re: protools playback engine issue
Hi Steve, Route the mouse pointer to the VoiceOver cursor and do a physical mouse click. There seems to be a problem with certain controls. See if that works. It should. Hi Keith, The PT manual itself in combination with the PT With Speech tutorials you've already been linked to is the path to follow if you want to become a Pro Tools ninja. I reckon the free PT With Speech examples and reading some articles on the DAW in general would give you a fairly good overview of whether you're likely to feel comfortable making the switch, but if you still need a Skype chat after that then feel free to drop me a line and we can sort out a time. No need for any compensation here if it's just to find out whether Pro Tools is the right DAW for you, that shouldn't take long. HTH, good luck with the research Scott On 12/30/14, Ricky Prevatte rickypreva...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Keith Google ProTools with speech.com. Upgrading to PT 11, What am I missing?
Hey Guys, s, Attempting the PT 11 thing. Got an upgrade code from a dealre logged into my avid account and entered it. it aske me to update my billing address which i did. Now it's asking me for a system ID and to verify my billing address. When i click the link to verify it it only provides me with my address as i entered it, and update buttons. nothing is missing and its all correct. Yet it still tells me i need to verify it and nowhere in my account displays a system ID for me. It will give me the links to download PT10.3.9 but nowhere does it show a system ID either. Anything I am missing. How can i get around this and complete my registration. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Pro Tools Accessibility group. Re: Upgrading to PT 11, What am I missing?
i logged in, clicked on my products and subscriptions. and when i click on where it says pro tools 10 upgrade from PT9 all it does is show me ilok info. I have a sighted person looking at the site now and they are seeing the same results. not finding anywhere i can interact that is showing more info that that. Yeah this is one of the new support plans .. which funily enoch i can't seem to just call them for support until the plan is activated. To be honest, I had my assistant log in and she mentioned that under the products area she simply clicked on the product name and that exposed the system ID info. Although I didn't do it myself, I recall having to interact with an area that didn't seem like I could interact with it, per se, and yet I could interact and see further detail on Pro Tools downloads. Others have seen this as well. I'm not sure if things have changed as a result of the new support plans, etc. Anyway, just thought it might help.
