Hi Chuck, ticks is selected. I had it working before, but it just won't work at all now. I've even started a new project but it's still not working. The audio will not change. If you could talk me through how you would go about then I can see if I've missed anything. Thanks for your help. I've spent the wrole day on this one. Hi, Hi, you can do this by changing the desired track for editing from sample to ticks, set elastic audio to polyphonic, under track view change the view to warp, go to the transport cluster, under midi change the tempo, Make sure the conductor track isn’t selected… Hope this helps On Jun 8, 2015, at 12:42 PM, Poppa Bear heavens4r...@gmail.com wrote: If you have a chance, perhaps you can outline your steps for reference? First, if this is concerning Mac OS and application downloading, it's more appropriate for the Mac visionaries list. Apart from that, yes, set your mouse pointer to follow the voiceOver cursor. Elastic audio revisited
Hi, I would ideally have added this to the thread I created, but I dn't know how to do that when no one else has yet replied. It seems as if the issue was that I had conductor selected in the midi cluster transport view. When that was unticked it' all worked fine. I am trying to alter the tempo of some classical music so that it aligns to a click track. I don't seem to be able to make the necessary changes to th audio's length while the click track remains constant, but I have mixed down the click track and should be able to import the audio of the click and alter the classical piece's tempo while the bounced down click track is playing unaltered. Re: Having a bit of a struggle changing the tempo of audio
Hi, here's what I did to finally get it working like I wanted. Conductor track is inabled it the midi cluster. I make sure that the audio track I want to time change is selected first. I also make sure that elastic audio is enabled on that track, and that that it's set to ticks. I then go to the ruler and select tempo. Now I can VO-space on the tempo ruler and change the time of the audio which will apply itself to my selection, from the chosen start to end time. And I can make as many changes as I like. Re: OS version ProTools
Aside from some weirdness in the session setup dialog, the rest of it is pretty much the same as with version 11. The new marketplace isn't yet accessible but it's not a mandatory feature. Let me just qualify my statements here by saying that, at the studio, I'm on version 11. The only versions of 12 that I've used have been beta on a secondary bootup drive and that is purely for accessibility testing. I haven't spent loads of time in 12 and, by initial appearances, it's the same as 11 in all other respects apart from the setup dialog. Some new features in the I/O Setup appear to be accessible. Hi, Do you think the new marketplace will become accessible as I could see this as a very useful feature for people looking for things to buy in there? The new marketplace isn't yet accessible but it's not a mandatory feature. Let me just qualify my statements here by saying that, at the studio, I'm on version 11. The only versions of 12 that I've used have been beta on a secondary bootup drive and that is purely for accessibility testing. I haven't spent loads of time in 12 and, by initial appearances, it's the same as 11 in all other respects apart from the setup dialog. Some new features in the I/O Setup appear to be accessible. In other words, simply pressing space bar on certain items doesn't activate them. The workaround is to route the mouse pointer to the VoiceOver cursor and either click a track pad or use Shift-Control-Option-Space Bar. It's a fairly minor issue. Given the option, I see nothing wrong with starting out on Mavericks but that's just delaying the inevitable migration at some point. If you have Mavericks, stay with it by all means but, if you can go Yosemite just as easily, I'd say go Yosemite. Hi, Yes I am using a mac book pro late model 2011 and have 10.7 threw 10.10 all on different partitions so I can go between operating system versions should I need to. Is there any settings in any versions I should look at as my mac book pro only has a track pad and no physical mouse like the school computers have?
