Re: Accessibility of Sample Libraries

2016-02-23 Thread Steve Sparrow
I’d also like to add to this and reask the question about drums, I’ve played
with x band, and i have not really found many great sounding kits i can use,
Yes, there a few, but i seem to now be very limited in choice of good kits, Or
am i missing something. So is there really nothing else that is accessible, if
so i’m really feeling this may be quite a limitation. I’d love to use adictive
drums or something with a pile of good kits to choose from.
Or is it possible i need to play around more with x band. What i’m looking for
is some great sound modern country kits, and good kits for rock and pop stuff.

Thanks for the response. Smiley!

I knew the issue with the presets, and that why I thought perhaps
someone else might have had a different experience.

Well, it never hurts to have hope. Grin!

Re: Accessibility of Sample Libraries

2016-02-23 Thread Stefan Albertshauser
Hi Sean,

Regarding sample libraries: In Pro Tools, you always have the issue, that you
see only the automatable parameters in the plugin window. Browsers are not
visible to Voiceover. The way to get around this is to make presets with
sighted assistance.
Regarding Complete 10: In my opinion, the only way to get somehow control over
the interface is the keyboard series „Complete Control“. These keyboards have a
browsing function, which can load all presets and patches. However, you have to
learn the whole structure. The searching function isn’t accessible at all, like
everything fron Native Instruments. It is a question of mind, but I wouldn’t
spend much extra money, when I had enough sound possibilities. Hope this helps.

RE: Trying to locate a button on the Digi 003

2016-02-23 Thread Poppa Bear
Thanks Allen, that helped. One of my cats had pressed the button and caused the
main outs to be muted so that audio would just be routed strictly to the
monitor outs. My PT was down for the last couple of weeks, but good old Google
gave me enough clues to finally trouble shoot the problem. Luckily I have a
Sonar set up as well so I wasn’t completely down in the between time.

Hi Poppa B,

I’ve attached the Digi 003 physical description text file that Slau sent to me
when I got my 003 recently. I’m not familiar with the button you’re talking
about off the top of my head but everything on the 003 is in here, it’s gold
though obviously I’m still learning it.

Hope this helps before your client arrives.

Hi! I'm just cutting my teeth in PT12, so got a few basic questions. I've
moved from Sonar on Windows, so not totally ignorant, but there are a few
things that I'm not figuring out easily.
1: How would we go about auditioning patches in Structure 2?
2: Is there a way to use Ilok without sighted help?
3: How would you change the default path of where sessions are saved?
4: Can the metronome sound be changed?
I think that's all for now. I'm going through Pro Tools with Speech, and
it's gotten me up and running. Been fooling with some projects I have
imported from Logic, editing vocals and such, and so far, it seems so much
easier than anything we've had before.

Hi Chuck!

Thanks for sharing that.

Best! / Martin
